Three Berlin water towers

There are quite a few old water towers still scattered around Berlin and some have a great ‘steampunk’ aesthetic like the one next to Ostkreuz S-Bahn station in the east of the city – the one I’ve put in the centre of the collage above.  The one on the right is an old railway water tower in the naturpark Sudgelande near where we live, and the one on the left I can see sitting in the grounds of the Technikmuseum although I don’t know it’s history; I plan to visit the museum before not too long, it looks fascinating with lots of exciting shapes to draw and paint.

Back in London now, not often London is hotter than Berlin in the summer but this year it certainly is!
