Experiments with home-made papers…
Fancied a break from my busy schedule creating for all the festivals coming up so decided to use some of my home designed papers, see through papers and a bit of the Orient – all framed with painted embellishments from my glue gun. Am quite pleased with the result so intend to do more when I get time – could be good for a winter market.
Preparing for Festivals
Just putting finishing touches to my #Rhythms of London series based on finds along the #River Thames foreshore whilst #mudlarking. These blocks will be available to buy for £30 at the #Crouch End Festival and #Highgate’s #Fair in the Square in June.
Hope you can stop by
and some finished pieces
Watercolour Workshop
Watercoulor is a relatively new media for me as I usually find the colours insipid. But, marrying them with Brusho and using squeezed out colour directly onto the paper gave really lovely effects – here are some of the examples we did messing about.
A couple of florals with collage added
Trying out these new pens to add highlights and negative space in this Brusho painting
Could this be a Monet painting in progress??

Getting Ready for June Extravaganza!
Just realise I have only 5 weeks to go before the 1st onslaught of art fairs/exhibitions etc starting with the Crouch End Festival in June, then a week later Fair in the Square, Highgate plus solo exhibition at the Queens and 2 group exhibitions with Suraya Arts and Islington Art Society!!!
Busy making encaustic greetings cards and fridge magnets for the 2 fairs, 25 magnets and 45 cards just finished. These images are formed by trapping pressed petals into pigmented wax and then further embellished with oil pastel and embossing powders. Thought I’d post some pics of the process.
