Kennedy's 4th Birthday

Kennedy is four!!!. I can't believe how fast time is going. She is such a big girl, yet still my little baby at the same time. I love her so much that sometimes I find myself squeezing her and not wanting to let go until she screams"Mom stop being so silly". She is already at that stage in life where Mom hugging her is "silly"-- oh the heart ache! This year I decided I wanted a easy breezy but fun birthday (for me anyway), and Kennedy of course didn't care what we did as long as Disney Princesses were involved and playing with her cousins. So we went to Classic Fun Center for bouncy house, skating, and video game fun. It was perfect, no cooking, no mess for me to clean up and every one had a blast. Here are a dozen highlights:

Sister pic before we left

Cute little Shelby with a very large bow, love it

The super cute birthday cake thanks to Hal's cousin Alaina. Check her website out at http://thecakegirlalaina.blogspot.com, it was delicious!

Grammy and Hal

Bouncie time!!

"Mom and Dad" not even Mommy and Daddy anymore... insert tears

Game time

My sweet Shelby

My attempt at a picture with both the girls

Kennedy snuck onto the skating rink and went a little crazy

Not the best picture but Kennedy going face first was a big deal considering 6 months ago she wouldn't even attempt the slides...see growing up

I love this picture. It captures that moment of glee when everyone is about to sing Happy Birthday to you and you feel oh so special

She was probably wishing for more Princess stuff

She got to play dress up and eat a yummy cake

Present time. Seriously how much princess stuff can one girl have? Apparently never enough

A gun of her own to keep up with all the boys, yeah!!

More dress up fun from Nana

Tinkerbell art set fun for Kennedy --- but not so much for my couch, TV and walls

We were so excited to see her open the Toy Story Jessee doll because she is obsessed. The look on the top shows the happiness. Then she goes to pull the string on the back but cries (literally) "Hey there is no string, she doesn't talk!!! Oh, why dosent she talk??" How were we to know it had to talk. Oops my bad! The pic below says it all

Happiness brought back with her first barbie
Later we went to dinner, Kennedy's pick of course which was "the fire place" as she call it. Which is Firehouse Subs. She gets a fun hat, we eat yummy sandwiches--win win for all (Rick she takes after you). I had decorated the house for her, but of course didn't take pic's. But it was can you guess... princess themed with many balloons and was literally just taken down yesterday.

Such a fun birthday, love my little D!!!

8 months

Today Shelby is 8 months old, and cutter then ever. She is 20lb 4 oz and 29 inches tall (a huge growth spurt from 4 months). Her first word is Dada and says it all the time which is adorable but I'll be honest and feel Mama deserves to be the first word. She has 2 cute little bottom teeth but the top two will be making their way soon. She actually enjoys baby food now which is kinda nice (as in the last 3 days). Were working on the crawling but no promises any time soon. She is such a happy baby which we love, unless the poor girl is sick (or tired) and then is a totally different child. Her and Kennedy adore each other, which I love to see. I love seeing her in clothes Kennedy used to wear, makes me happy and sad at the same time. And I am finally starting to see that her and Kennedy do look alike. Not as much as everyone keeps saying, but enough that they look like sisters to me now. I love this age, wish we could freeze time so I could enjoy all her adorable momemts a little longer.

The bottom pic is Kennedy at 11 months old in the same overalls which she wore that one time. Hopefully Shelby gets a little more use out of them

Loving carrots, and DaDa

First ride together at Costco and a favorite pic of mine

On her 7th month birthday (yes each month until a year is its own little bday in my head)

In this pic Shelby is growling, yes growling. And it is absolutely the funniest thing to hear. I keep trying to get it on video but she stops when I do. I'll get it one of these days

I am soooo far behind on blogging, I have millions of fun times to share including Kennedy's 4th birthday. My goal this week is to blog at least 2 more times. I can do it!!! (that is that chant in my head)

Another one bites the dust

Here is just one of many outfits that Shelby got to big for that I just love. She was supposed to wear it in the summer. So I had her wear it for a few hours and took pictures. She is so stinking cute!!!

I love their smiles in this one

Christmas Jammies

In the past we gave Kennedy her new Christmas jammies on Christmas eve. But I decided I wanted to see them all month long. So we started a new tradition where the girls will get their new jammies the night we decorate the Christmas tree. It was a fun night, Polar Express was introduced to Kennedy and got her very excited for Santa, and cute Shelby got to stare at all the bright light on the tree. Love, love this time of year!!!

Between the 2 of them I couldn't get them to look at me at the same time. My fault for having the TV on

Love Christmas jammies!!!!!

My new favorite accessory for Shelby, so dang cute

Kennedy hung the first ornament. It is so fun how excited she gets about everything, makes the holiday that much better

The jumparoo is Shelby's favorite right now. She gets down nice and low then bam, shoots up.

We call Shelby Jr, can you see why

Best decorator in town

6 months old!!!!

I can't believe Shelby is 6 months old already. She will be walking before I can blink next. We haven't had her 6 month doctors visit. Between her being sick, holiday activities, the doctor's schedule and the holidays we had to push it to January. But she has to weigh over 20lbs now I know it.

She is such a blast these days, I love this age. She has her 2 bottom teeth and knows how to use them. She giggles and laughs all the time and just loves her jumparoo to bounce in. She sits up all by herself, but has no desire to crawl yet. She has a new thing where she will just scream, and scream. But it's so cute and funny we don't mind. She looks at Sadie and just starts laughing and gets all excited. So Sadie sees it as an invite to give her doggie kisses, which Shelby actually loves (yuck). Anything and everything she can get her hands on goes in her mouth. We could kiss her face all day long and she would let us she loves it so much. She has always loved bath time, but now she really loves it. She gets all excited & splashes everywhere (I love it even more because she takes the best naps after) . She loves being tickled, and have her stomach blown on. The only baby food she likes so far is squash. She will eat fresh bananas, but not jarred. And doesn't like applesauce or peaches. She must have her Daddy's pallet, no sweets. She interacts and plays with Kennedy more which Kennedy is just thrilled about. And she absolutely hates getting changed, she gets so mad. Makes it difficult for me to play dress up with her, but not impossible. But we are working on the crawling now even though she hates it. Poor Sadie thought Kennedy was tough on her, she hasn't seen anything yet

Puffy vest goodness!! Look at those thighs, chubtastic
