🚀AI in Education Forum Series Concludes with Great Success👏🏻 👏🏻 Jointly organised by the Education Bureau (#EDB), EdCity and #Cyberport, the finale event of ‘AI in Education Forum Series’ (#AIED) concludes with great success on 22 November. The event brought together educators, tech innovators and startup leaders to present a string of spectacular programmes! 🤩   🎉 The opening ceremony was officiated by Dr Jeff Sze, JP, Under Secretary of the Education Bureau; Mr Armstrong Lee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EdCity; Mr Ricky Choi, Director of Smart City & Digital Transformation at Cyberport; and @Dr Tenny Lam, Executive Director of EdCity. ✨ We were honoured to have Professor Cecilia Chan Ka Yuk from Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre and Faculty of Education at The University of Hong Kong to deliver a keynote presentation on the topic of ‘The Education Ecosystem: Co-Creating the Future with AI’. 💡Together with 10 distinguished experts joining 2 panel discussions and 2 guest sharing sessions, the forum offered the educators diverse perspectives on the application of AI in education! The event also featured 20 EdTech Solutions Showcase 🤖 , along with 14 Hands-on Teachers Workshops⚙️, sparking new teaching inspirations in the new AI era! Witnessed by Dr Jeff Sze and Mr Armstrong Lee, Dr Tenny Lam signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (@HKIRC), the Hong Kong Productivity Council (@HKPC), and the @Hong Kong Computer Society, further expanding the Digital Education Ecosystem fostered by EdCity.   ⭐Harness the forefront of Digital Education 🔜🔜 🔜 EdCity will continue to roll out diversified professional development programmes for educators. EdCity 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner: A night of innovation ✨and technology 💡! 🐰 TooEasy x 🤖 AI Robot x 🐶Robot Dog x 👩🎤AI Singer = 💯 Futuristic vibes ! Guests were greeted at EdCity’s 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner 🥂 by Too Easy 🐰—our iconic mascot—alongside a cutting-edge robot 🤖 and a charming robot dog 🐶 dressed as a Chinese dancing lion. Guided by two students from CUHK FAA Thomas Cheung School, the robot greeted guests with handshakes, while the robot dog, struck heart-shaped poses, leapt into the air, and even performed backflips, delivered an immersive AI-powered welcome that delighted everyone! Later in the evening, guests were captivated by a spectacular performance🎤🎶 led by Vi and student dance crew 💃👏👏. Recently debuted, Vi is an AI-generated virtual idol created by students from Digital Media Production at the Hong Kong Design Institute (#HKDI), a member institution under the Vocational Training Council (#VTC). The success of Vi perfectly illustrates the boundless potential of AI-powered education and signals the rise of edtech as a thriving new industry. EdCity is thrilled to harness the power of large-scale events to showcase cutting-edge tech innovations and spark excitement across the education sector. 🎉 EdCity’s 25th Anniversary Grand Gala Dinner was a resounding success!    Hong Kong Education City (EdCity) is celebrating its silver jubilee🪙!  Tonight, EdCity hosted the 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner at Kowloon Shangri-La, graced by esteemed officiating guests✨, including Dr Choi Yuk Lin, JP, Secretary for Education; Mr Armstrong Lee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EdCity; Dr Jeff Sze, JP, Under Secretary for Education; and Dr Tenny Lam, Executive Director of EdCity. 💫    In his heartfelt address, Mr Armstrong Lee expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Education Bureau, academia, professional associations, and all partners for their unwavering support, which has enabled EdCity to thrive and evolve over the past 25 years. Entering a new era shaped by the wave of AI 🤖, EdCity will serve as a super connector to co-build a vibrant digital education ecosystem with all sectors. With the newly introduced ‘4E+E’ strategy️, which are ‘evolution’, ‘ecosystem’ of digial education, ‘empowerment’ of digital literacy for teachers and students, and ‘elevation’ of systems. [🎊Milestone reached] 24,000+ participants joined the first Digital Education Week! 👏🏻 The inaugural Digital Education Week (#DEWHK2025) cohosted by the Education Bureau #EDB of HKSAR Government and Hong Kong Education City welcomed over 24,000 participants from 30 June to 7 July!    The week kicked off with the 15th Learning & Teaching Expo 2025, showcasing over 600 booths, 270+ seminars and workshops, and featuring insights from more than 300 speakers during the three-day program. We broke EdCity's historical record with over 20,000 visitors from July 2-4! 🎉    The second flagship program, International Summit on the Use of AI in Learning and Teaching Languages and Other Subjects & Post-Summit Workshop Series (#AIinLT), took place at 香港理工大學 from July 4-7.
