Starbucks is deepening its commitment to coffee farmers in Northern Thailand—supporting stronger, more resilient coffee communities through collaboration and knowledge sharing. Announced ahead of World of Coffee Bangkok 2026, in collaboration with the Integrated Tribal Development Foundation (ITDF), the initiative aims to improve farming and post-harvest practices to strengthen quality outcomes and farm resilience. Through hands-on training and field-based guidance, farmers supported by ITDF, a nonprofit working with coffee-growing communities in Northern Thailand, will have the opportunity to work alongside agronomists from the Starbucks Farmer Support Center (FSC) in Sumatra, Indonesia, to strengthen farm performance and resilience. It’s another way we’re supporting the future of coffee—by investing in farmers, sharing knowledge, and working together to build stronger, more resilient coffee communities. This year, 130 Starbucks partners (employees) from across Asia Pacific, China, and Japan took part in the Origin Experience in Sumatra—walking alongside smallholder farmers experiencing firsthand the care, skill, and collaboration behind every coffee bean. As one partner shared, “We work with whole bean coffee every day, but being here shows you what those beans represent before they ever reach a bag or a shelf.” Experiences like these deepen our connection to coffee and the communities who grow it, reinforcing our commitment to quality, shared success, and the future of coffee. For many people, Starbucks coffeehouses are where ideas begin, connections deepen, and creative work gets done. Kopi Creator Kolektif, a new creative platform by Starbucks Malaysia, builds on this foundation by bringing together ten emerging local talents to develop their creative ideas through a structured programme of industry-led masterclasses and hands-on mentorship. On 16 May, five musicians and five filmmakers will debut their original songs and premiere film teasers, with one winner from each cohort receiving a prize to produce their original idea. A moment of chance, a spark of connection. As part of Art Basel Hong Kong, Starbucks partnered with digital artist Jack Butcher to bring The Art of Conversation to life - an interactive experience that turned a simple coaster into an invitation to connect. Across select Starbucks coffeehouses and the SILK Art House booth at Art Basel, guests were given randomly assigned, limited‑edition dice coasters. To complete a set, they had to start conversations: trading coasters, sharing stories and connecting with people they might not otherwise have met. Our coffeehouses have always been a third place for community and connection and this partnership reminds us that sometimes, the most meaningful outcomes aren’t what we collect, but the conversations we create. Starbucks has reached a major global milestone: 100 million climate resilient coffee trees donated to farmers around the world, supporting the long term future of high quality arabica coffee. These trees help farmers replace aging or disease prone crops, improve productivity and strengthen resilience as growing conditions shift with climate change. We've also committed to donate a further 50 million trees to key coffee growing regions in the next phase of this work. In Asia Pacific, this commitment is closely connected to the work of our Farmer Support Center in North Sumatra, which supports farmers across the region through agronomy training and sustainable farming guidance. Our teams work alongside farmers to improve crop quality and resilience, helping ensure the future of coffee for all. We are proud to be part of this global milestone and proud of the role Asia Pacific plays in supporting coffee growing communities for generations to come. https://lnkd.in/gz5kJDSU

Yesterday, our Hong Kong Support Centre kicked off International Women’s Day with a gathering that highlighted the strength and diversity of our Starbucks community across Asia Pacific. It was a meaningful moment to reflect on how we foster Belonging, not only by welcoming different identities and experiences, but by actively creating spaces where every partner can thrive. This year, we explored the intersection of gender and LGBTQ+ experiences, acknowledging the shared challenges and powerful resilience within these communities. We were grateful to hear from two inspiring speakers: Pim, a transgender partner from Thailand who shared her personal journey, and Cheung Bin, LGBTQ woman founder of Butterfly, Hong Kong’s most popular lesbian app. Their stories underscored the importance of visibility, inclusion, and community. A heartfelt thank you to our Women’s Impact Network and Pride Network for curating such an impactful program. Their leadership, along with the passion of our partner networks across the region, continues to shape a workplace where everyone feels respected, supported, and seen. #starbucksasiapacific #internationalwomensday2026 #belonging #tobeapartner

Korea has long been the home of “iced only”, leading the way in cold beverage culture. It’s no surprise that this new iced experience is hitting the mark for our customers. Aerocano is a refreshing step forward in Starbucks iced coffee craft. It brings a creamy twist to one of Korea’s most‑loved beverages, elevating the classic Americano in a way that feels both familiar and completely fresh. Customers are already making it a favourite: more than 1 million cups experienced in seven days, claiming a new record for an iced beverage at Starbucks Korea. This is a little reminder that innovation can come from reimagining something that people already love.
