  • Transforming organic waste into clean fuels reframes pollution as a design and infrastructure challenge, not just an environmental one. This kind of circular thinking—where inputs, processes, and long‑term impact are considered together—is exactly what a low‑carbon future requires. Farms and cities produce millions of tonnes of organic #waste every year, in the form of food waste, old cooking oils and agricultural refuse. But what if this potential pollution could be converted into clean fuels to power cars, planes and ships? Here, repsol CEO Josu Jon Imaz talks us through the innovative facilities using hundreds of thousands of tonnes of unwanted waste to power a #low-carbon future. A new World Economic Forum report, Fuelling the Future: How Business, Finance and Policy can Accelerate the Clean Fuels Market, highlights the critical role clean #fuels will play in the future energy system: https://ow.ly/RZVP50YAvj3

  • Absolutely agree. True quality is determined long before a needle touches fabric. Precision at the cutting stage sets the foundation for fit, drape, and longevity — everything that follows depends on it. Craftsmanship starts where intention meets material. Contact Connor for your sourcing needs across all classifications of apparel and home products, including furniture, luggage, toys, footwear, home textiles, decorative accessories, stationery, tabletop and giftware.

✨ True garment quality is established at the cutting stage before sewing ever begins. The cutting table is where craftsmanship first becomes measurable. Precision cutting is not simply about separating fabric into parts — it is the disciplined process of translating a pattern into fabric while protecting balance, drape, and fit. When cutting is accurate, every piece is better prepared to perform exactly as intended in the next stage of production. Each grainline must remain correct, every notch must stay consistent, and every curve must be executed with control and precision. Whether working with lightweight chiffon, structured twill, or stretch-blend fabrics, professional cutting requires careful handling of tension, movement, and layer stability to reduce distortion and preserve fabric integrity. When the cut is right, the rest of the workflow becomes stronger. Sewing becomes cleaner, assembly becomes more efficient, and the final garment is far more likely to maintain its intended form through wear, handling, and repeated use. 🌟 In apparel manufacturing, excellence is never created by stitching alone. It begins where precision first shapes the fabric. #fabric #fashiondesigner #silk #style #designer #sustainablefashion #couture #wholesale #cotton #innovation #fashionstyle #creativity #fashion #luxury #interiordesign #homedecor #handmade #textile #denim #glamorous Guangzhou Soleil international Textile Co.,Ttd

30 to 50% of leather becomes waste during production. This stool is made from RELEA by Nabore GmbH, crafted from leather offcuts and production waste. Pressed, folded, and shaped into a self-supporting structure, showcasing the material’s inherent qualities. In processing, it is similar to molded plywood, but with sharp bending possibilities and flexible zones that enable forms not typically achievable with wood. NABORE was awarded the German Sustainability Award 2025. Project: LECREASE Material: RELEA by Nabore GmbH Support: Thomas Beck Design: Friedrich Gerlach

Meet Mexico’s ‘cocineras solas’ or solar cooks.  These Indigenous women from Oaxaca state have swapped their traditional wood or gas-fired ovens with clean, sunshine-powered solar stoves - with enormous benefits.  #Solar stoves produce no indoor air pollution, a global scourge that causes 3.2 million deaths every year. They also save households money on fuel costs, cut CO2 emissions, and curb deforestation.  Today, there are 500 cocineras solas in #Oaxaca - and their numbers are growing. As the world moves towards net zero, it is vital to ensure decarbonization benefits everyone. The World Economic Forum’s Equitable Transition Initiative works to mobilize businesses and governments to make sure the green transition lifts up all communities.
