Analyst – Private Equity & Venture Capital

Gaw Capital is seeking an Analyst to join its Venture Capital / Private Equity (non-real estate) investment team in Hong Kong. The team focuses on investment opportunities in unlisted ventures and companies in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific. The Analyst will work closely with the team to evaluate new opportunities and manage existing investments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough industry research, form in-depth industry views based on quantitative/qualitative data
• Analyze business models and perform SWOT analysis on various companies
• Financial modelling and valuation analysis
• Play a key role in the due diligence process and deal evaluations
• Draft investment memos and other related deal discussion materials
• Proactive portfolio management and reporting

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines with 1-2 years’ relevant experience in investment banking, venture capital or private equity preferred
• Knowledgeable about financial markets and investments
• Solid research, financial modeling, and qualitative/quantitative analytical skills
• Strong attention to details
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin

Candidates with more experience will be considered for an Associate role.
