Noble Seeking (Duet)

They were two clouds
The sky was their home
Clouds that connected
But were forced to part

Now they roam the Earth
Hearts heavy with rain
Broken apart
Yearning to be whole again

Desperately seeking
Just a glance would suffice
They live in each other
O’ but to be side by side

Their heart opens up
The heavens do too
A bridge to connect lovers
Is what a rainbow will do

When the journey is tiring
They look up to the skies
Love and hope gives them strength
Fate says they must try

So they wander the world
But its never in vain
For spending a lifetime
Searching for Love
Is the most noble of things

Soul in the Margins

My soul is old as time itself
A thousand past lives or more
But this has never happened
Born in two worlds at once

Roots of damascene jasmine
Grow into eucalyptus leaves
A tree void of identity
A vine with no name

Nameless with no place
I’m a house with no land
I’m a mask with no face
Hovering in suspension

I have sailed the seas
Danced across the skies
The click clack of train tracks
Wanting a place to call home

But when I reached the West
They told me to go back home
So I traveled to the East
They asked me where I’m from

I am brown with skin of white
Belonging only on borders
Unable to return to the homeland
Foreign hands long for disposal

I’ll stand proud in the margins
With all those that are ‘other’
So let them blur the lines
and flood the boundaries

Let them strip me of my badges
They have little value now
For Home lives in my soul
A soul as old as time

Real Love

Real love is love of the Real

Not of infatuation, blindness and shadows

It is the love of union, home and Self

The love of Love, oneness and return

Real love is the love of sacrifice

Where my will and thoughts disappear

And every movement

Like the eye that blinks and the heart that beats

is moved in loving worship by the Master Puppeteer

Absorbed in His Power

My worldly state is not welcome here

This is the sacred space of surrender and trust

The place of transformation

Where I am turned from stone to gem

And I become the phoenix born of ash

This is the space where shadows die

And all is consumed in the splendour of Spirit’s light

It is in here that I am born again

and again

and again

And in these births I become Love itself

For real love is never divided

In the end, the lover is forever lost in his Beloved

Your Home

You are unafraid in the safety of the place you call home

Live in your enlightened soul and every place becomes safe and known

Protector, helper and guide

Become aware of its presence

And smile in peace wherever you go

Spirit is your safe haven

In this world and the next

Become one with yourself

And make it your new, everlasting and loving home
