O’ child of Adam,
Soul marked with grace
You were created from love
That you must embrace

Light of His splendid Face
Embrace your nature
Ascend to your rightful place

Born from earth,
Light your path
And abode

The breath of His soul
Born with purity
Let greatness unfold

With knowledge of names
Climb to humanity

Disturbed by this human free will
Return’s possible with surrender
Letting go in faith is our one hope
The easiest thing is to be extreme
Embrace the path of moderation
Dissolve in Sacred harmony
Nature needs to take its course
Live life with your essence

Book Review: My Wings
Just Patty (Patty Van Deft) has just released her new book of Poetry entitled ‘My Wings’. Essentially, she has split the book into two parts. The first is an exploration of her dark side and the second her light side. In doing so, Patty’s book takes the reader through the whole spectrum of human experience. Fear, pain, loss, anxiety, hope, joy and courage. This makes reading ‘My Wings’ an extremely personal experience that speaks directly to every reader. Moreover, the book is filled with beautifully poetic words and amazing artwork. A definite recommendation! Autumn Joy
Oranges and reds rustle out my window
As dawn reaches in and warms my skin
I lie in the sun, like leaves on the ground
Bathing in the light, worries wash away
Joy comes in the form of chattering geese
Carrying me from summer with their song
Breathing in the beauty of this perfect moment
Peace is flowing through the brisk autumn air
We change as the seasons do
In faith we must accept and grow
Footsteps land just outside the door
