Spirit
Flows like a seed
Entering human wombs
Bearing birth to the Life we call
The Soul
The two combine
And the real you is born
A brilliant Light that shines brighter
With every day of growth
Until the day arrives

My soul is a reed flute
Playing songs of Love
When Spirit takes over
The Musician of Being
Music is dancing
Joy is rolling about
It’s the rhythm of worship
The Angels breathe along
The heavens are laughing
The sun and moon make love
Im pregnant with Life
Did not Hafiz say:
Of course things like that can happen!
I wandered for many years
A thousand rising suns
A thousand silent nights
I journeyed like the ocean
Moving from shore to shore
Every now and then
I would come across some people
With my unshaven beard
and worn out sandals
They would beg the question
I would answer proudly
‘I am naught but a seeker!’
And they would always be impressed
One day
As I continued to travel
(without a compass)
I met a man with a musky scent
Clean cut and brand new clothes
He sat on a meadow green bed
Watching the sky sail by
As I approached him
He turned to me and asked…
Judgingly
I replied proudly
‘You wouldn’t understand’
Yet, he insisted and argued
‘What harm could an answer cause?’
And so I said,
without thinking
For my tongue had
Memorized the words
‘I am naught but a seeker!’
He asked gently
‘What is it that you seek?’
I hesitated
Thought for a while
And in a half life
I said
‘I seek a treasure buried so deep
The world calls it an ancient myth
I seek the rays of the sun
That will bring life to my soul
I seek self knowledge
That is, knowledge of the Self
I seek real love
That is, love of the Real
I seek the universe in a grain
And a grain that’s the universe!’
With a great smile
The man unwrapped his hand
And presented a golden key
Pointing to a mountain
He said to me
‘There is a door up there
It will give you everything you seek’
I replied indignant,
‘Please keep your key
I already told you once
I am naught but a seeker!’
Look to the heavens
Planets whirl around the sun
A guided journey
They’ve found their centre
Find the same within yourself
Your Guide is covered
Go and seek him out
Don’t let your universe stray
Dance around your soul!
Tomorrow’s a really busy day for me and so I decided to cheat a little and write tomorrow’s poem for NaPoWriMo today. Please don’t tell on me! 😉
One
Being
Love explodes
Manifesting
Creation of worlds
Multiple divisions
Ying Yang, Divine balancing
Disturbed by this human free will
Return’s possible with surrender
Letting go in faith is our one hope
The easiest thing is to be extreme
Embrace the path of moderation
Dissolve in Sacred harmony
Nature needs to take its course
Live life with your essence
See how things unfold
All the chaos
disappears
you are
One

The universe is singing
Come and take my hand
Let us dance together
Moving to the music of Love
The meadow will be our dance floor
Come and hold me close
Barefoot, feeling the earth beneath us
Moving on the rhythm of Life
I’m losing my inhabitations
As we whirl in this ecstasy
Dancing with the universe
Moving in perfect harmony
The music of love has no end
And so we dance all night long
Passionate and full of life
Until we become one

Angel of light
Wrap me in your wings
Sing me a song
Of beautiful things
“O’ Child of God
Reflection of Light
There’s no need for worry
All things are right
We watch over you
Day and night
We let nothing happen
Except for good
O’ Child of God
Reflection of Love
How much you have
Hidden in sight
The breath of Divinity
Has touched your soul
Even us angels
Have bowed down to you
O’ Child of God
Reflection of He
You’ve been honoured
To represent He
Noble creature
You may stray
But holding hands
We help bring you back
O’ Child of God
What shall I say?
All this is known
Inscribed in hearts
You are the Universe
Moved by Truth
On a journey to Love
With no return

May you be blessed
May showers of Mercy
Pour down on you”
The universe breathes the air of love,
And so it exists in dance and song,
The heavens beneath and those above,
The ecstatic rhythm beats so strong.
Cascading Melody of Cosmic Time,
Singing in the Vast Unknown,
Soothes my Soul with Melodious Rhyme
As Starlight Rains from Heaven’s Throne.
What else but Love could move such things,
The power of life, gentle and warm,
All of Nature and Heaven Rings,
Those who love fear not storms.
Yet Life may turn upon the Blade,
Dreams may unravel by ruse and guile,
Wandering Amidst the Masquerade,
My Love Seeks Yours to Rest and Smile.
Love, then, is Life and Life is Love,
When Abiding in Grace Above

The universe is filled with Art
Glowing suns, blue oceans, shining moons
But you, human being, are its masterpiece
On whom the Great Artist poured out His own soul
Coloured in Truth, Love, and Beauty
You are truly a spectacle to behold
Sculpted in perfect balance and harmony
The critic’s eye is taken aback and confused
He stares speechless
What’s drawing him in?
The mystery, there is art within the art
Its familiar and distant like a dream
Simply your presence
Moves him to tears and joy
Reminded of what he once was
And now hopeful of a return
Tell him imitation is not the answer
Half of beauty lies in being yourself
Replicas are cheap reflections
True human beings are priceless origin-als
Rejoice in gratitude
Your beauty is unmatched by the universe
Be the work of art you were created to be

Eyes closed, mind quiet
All my desires are gone
The stillness pushes me
Deep within the depths of my being
I find an unexplored universe
There is an unspeakable Power here
It is gentle and kind
It moves me and my mouth opens
I begin to sing the song of birds
It moves me and my body sways
I begin to dance the dance of cultures
What is this strangeness?
I am still an infant
Movement without understanding
I pray for patience until I grow
