About

God created a perfect world. A world without pain and suffering and disease and death. This world was a paradise. Man was the steward – caretaker of this picturesque world. But then all hell broke loose!

Man used his free will – the choice to choose between good and wrong, to choose to do wrong – to sin and rebel against God. By one act of disobedience, sin entered the world. Man chose to be the master and god of his own destiny, and thus rejected God.

That one act shattered this world. It was a matter of cause and effect. Pain, suffering, disease and death entered the world, the result of man’s choice to rebel against God. No more can Man blame God for the evil in this world, because Man of his own free will had welcomed evil into this world.

Now God is a being of perfect and infinite justice. And God in His perfect justice decreed death for the sin that we commit. But God is also a being of perfect and infinite mercy. God knew that we could not bear the burden of the fruits of our own sin. And in His love for us – fallen creatures that we were, God forged a way for our redemption.

This way balanced both the perfect justice and the perfect mercy of God. The wages/punishment of sin would be death, but God would take that punishment upon Himself. He would bear our sins for us, even the sins of the whole world.

But God would not force our redemption upon us. He gave us the option of choice – to choose whether we wanted to avail of this great offer that God had put on the table. We could choose to either accept or reject it.  If we accepted this offer, then our sins would be forgiven, and we would be justified in the sight of God.

This means that God would no longer look upon us as sinners but as righteous people. All that we have to do is accept the offer. Believe in our heart and confess with our mouth, that Jesus is Lord and Savior and that Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. This is when a person becomes a Christian.

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

– Romans 8:9

No longer do we need to hide away from God. But we can now go boldly into the presence of God, because we are now adopted into God’s family.

Today the choice is open for you too. Do you want to accept or reject God’s offer? Do you want to be able to have a relationship with this loving God? The choice is yours!
