  • Preparing Students for the Real Digital World at Chitkara University We recently completed a 10-day cybersecurity program for Bsc Hospitality 2023 batch at Chitkara University, an in-depth study of the real threats, tools and practices shaping today's digital ecosystem. In these sessions, students explored the following topics: - Introduction to cybercrime and the evolution of global cyber threats - Social engineering, cyberstalking, botnets and attack planning - Mobile and wireless security, authentication challenges, and the risks of credit card fraud - Tools used in cybercrime – phishing, keyloggers, spyware and password cracking - Malware families: viruses, worms, Trojans, and backdoors - Major attacks such as DoS, DDoS, SQL injection, and buffer overflows - Cloud security, organizational cyber policies, and secure computing guidelines - Digital forensics, endpoint security, and understanding hacker psychology Today, cybersecurity is not just an IT subject but a vital life skill. Students learned how to think like defenders, understand attackers and protect systems, organizations and themselves in a hyper-connected world.
