35 women in Deosar Block, Singrauli, now have a skill, a certificate, and a pathway to earning their own income. We are proud to share the successful completion of our 45-Day Beautician Skill Development Training Programme, delivered under our Just Transition Project with support from the India Climate Collaborative. Over 45 days, participants gained theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience in makeup and beauty services, preparing them for both employment and self-employment opportunities. At the closing ceremony, all participants were felicitated with Certificates of Completion by: Dr. Arun Kumar Pandey, Assistant Professor, Government College Deosar, Sangeeta Mam, In-charge Principal, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Deosar, Ritika Gupta, Trainer. In regions undergoing energy transition, building local, women-led livelihood opportunities is central to making change fair and inclusive. Our team at Givfunds attended DoDM 2026, organized by Indian School of Development Management (ISDM) at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre. It was a good space to hear from practitioners about what it takes to build and sustain organizations that work closely with communities. The conversations on building partnerships stayed with us, especially as we work on financial inclusion, women’s entrepreneurship and livelihoods. We came back with new ideas, new connections, and a reminder that lasting impact depends on listening well and building together. Givfunds started a new journey in Kashmir. On 20th September, we inaugurated our newest Mobile School and Library in Rajwar District, Kupwara; an e-rickshaw converted into an interactive library corner, carrying an entire classroom to children who need it most. It goes straight into communities and brings lessons, stories, and a little bit of wonder along with it. This is our 4th year running this project, and our 4th Mobile School is now in Kashmir. Four years. Four schools. Countless children who now get to experience learning in a way they never had before. A huge thank you to Mufin Green Finance, our partner in making this happen year after year. Thank you for bringing education to children in the remotest of communities. We can't wait to see where these wheels take us next! A new space for learning, skills and opportunity! Givfunds team is happy to share the inauguration of our Healthcare Skills & Training Centre in Noida, a space that will support young girls in building practical skills and exploring meaningful careers in the healthcare sector. The Centre will offer training in two courses: General Duty Assistant (GDA) and Phlebotomy, helping young women gain industry-relevant skills and take their first steps towards employment and financial independence. We are deeply grateful to UKG for supporting this vision and helping us bring the Centre to life.
