Check attendance. Download payslips. Raise requests. The system expected employees to come to it. But employee behavior has changed faster than most HR systems have. Today, work happens inside conversations. Managers approve tasks on Teams. Employees coordinate on WhatsApp. Departments collaborate on Slack. Naturally, expectations from HR technology are changing too. Employees no longer think in terms of “modules” or “workflows.” They simply want quick answers and faster actions within the tools they already use every day. It is a form of courage that most people never need to find. The quote in this visual captures a moment every founder knows but few talk about. The moment when everything felt like it was coming to an end. The halt that was not planned. The door that closed. The rug that pulled. And then, despite the weight, you found something. Not a miracle. Not a sudden answer. Just a small, stubborn, quiet decision to begin again. Well, that is just awesome. Because most people do not understand what starting over actually requires. It requires admitting that the previous path ended. It requires letting go of sunk cost. It requires walking into uncertainty without a map. And it requires doing all of that while the world watches, whispers, and waits for you to fail. Founders who have started over know this. The second or third version of a company. The pivot after a failed product launch. The reorganisation after losing a key leader. The fresh marketing strategy after months of flat growth. Each time, the courage to shut the old chapter and open a new one. Here is what I have learned after two decades. The ability to start over is not a sign of weakness. It is the most underrated leadership skill. It is what separates those who eventually build something lasting from those who stay stuck in what no longer works. My 2 cents for founders and growth leaders. If you are in the middle of a hard reset right now, feeling like everything is coming to a halt, take a breath. The courage you found to get here is already proof that you have what it takes for the next step. Starting over is not going backward. It is clearing the ground for something better. This is always my Note To Self :) What is one time you started over and later realised it was the best thing that could have happened? Godspeed to everyone finding the courage to begin again.
