To find the hidden desktop wallpaper, go to computer then right-click on the hard drive go to OPEN, than find the WINDOWS folder and Click on it. Go to the GLOBALIZATION folder after you click on this you should see two folders, ELS and SORTING, in the top RIGHT is a search bar, type in MCT, You will see folders that say MCT – ZA – US – GB – CK – AU. You can have all the folders Open up if you click on the first folder hold down the shift key and move the arrow key down and highlight all five folders and then press enter they all will open up into separate windows so you can access each folder. You want to then click on theme for each folder. If you only want to open one folder just click on that folder but, you will have to use the Back space key for each folder These pictures will be transferred to the personalization folder, also known as the desktop.

checking hard drive for errors

Today we are going to talk about on how to check your hard drive for errors,you should do this at least once a month but, no more than that. To do this we want to head over to the start button, click on my computer for Windows  xp, computer for Windows Vista and Windows 7, once this opens up click on the hard-drive, right-click, a scroll will open up left click on properties. Then click on the tools tab, under error checking, click check now than check the two boxes Automatically fix file system errors and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

Click Start, then schedule disk check, reboot the computer, this will present a black screen letting you know that a scan had been scheduled after a few minutes the scan will start. Do not turn off the computer, for this will cause your computer to be turned into a paper weight. This will take around an hour, so make sure you have the time.

Making a folder and burning only certain pictures

Today, we are going to talk on how to make a folder. First thing Right click on the desktop, go to new, than folder. Now you would probably want to name it. To do this hit the space bar, and type in the new name for your folder. If that doesn’t work , right-click on the folder, a scroll will open up click rename, than type in the new name and press enter.

Now double-click on one of the folders you have just made,. Once the folder opens up, left click on those pictures you want in that particular folder assuming if you downloaded them to the desktop, if you didn’t click on the start button, than pictures once the window pane open up, it will display your pictures, than drag them from the picture folder pane to either your desktop or to the other folder that you have already made up.

Now we are going to talk about burning a group of folders to one compact disc or Cd as they are called. So the window pane to the pictures folder is open and lets say you want to only burn certain pictures or folders. To do this you will want to click on the first picture or folder, let go of the mouse then holding down the shift key move the arrow key in what ever direction you want to go. Once you have them marked than click the burn tab. The computer will only burn those four folders that you have marked, if you have several on your desktop you can do the same,open up the computer pane after you have marked them you can drag the folders, to the CD-ROM this is after you have formatted the CD or DVD.

Firefox browser

Today we are going to talk about loading Firefox as your browser. First thing you want to do is head on over to either WWW.Firefox.com or to WWW.cnet.com if you use cnet.com, you’ll want to click the download tab, than in the search bar type in Firefox, click on the link, on the left side,it will list which operating systems that it is compatible with. If that checks out, go ahead and click the download button. Want to set your homepage as your browser? Easy just type in www.msn.com, www.cnet.com  or www.Google.com. Once you have your page, Left click on the Firefox icon next to the arrow(top Left Corner) and Drag it from the search bar to the far right where you see the house along the top. For Bookmarks click on the square with the star inside this will be next to the house. The box will open up, click bookmark this page to save. Than click done.
