heartache

We are considering to sell our house. We are.
I don't know what would be for the best.
I almost know what's best, but it will break my heart to part with this house.
I wish it were possible to move it to another place.

I never write about the problems there are, but this blog is not the place for it.
This is something else. I don't know why I'm telling you this.
No of course I know, it's just so much weight.
But at the same time it's something to be happy, excited, relieved, overjoyed about. We'll see what happens.

I've been to a festival for 3 days. Saw Kurt Vile, Kim Gordon & Ikue Mori, Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät, Moon Duo, K-X-P, Veronica Falls and many more.

Strange to be back home to all this mother+household business. But very happy too. And heartbreaking, with the house.

wood work

One day we constructed all kinds of things on the yard instead of having dinner.
This horse is a collaboration of V and me. We also made little benches, a crocodile and some machines.

Today was a good day, some sweet people came over. The girls picked blueberries and we made a pie.

There's a lot going on.

experimental jet-set

The modest little butterfly. And little somethings. V chose one of my all time favourite buttons. Little V wanted a pompom for his bonnet. It looked nice on the veranda bench.

I once had a friend. We worked at a vegetarian restaurant together for a while. Erica invented a cookie recipe that consisted mostly of peanut butter. I got the recipe from her and never tried it until now! She went back to Australia and we never met after that and aren't in touch anymore and all this happened so many years ago that I can't even count that far.

Erica's Carob cookies (to make 60)
2 jars peanut butter
6 big tbls carob powder
2 dl honey
2 dl oats
raisins & chopped roasted peanuts
water

Combine all things & let rest for 15 min. Bake at 150°C for 15 min (maybe longer or less)

I used about 2/3 jar (as we had two opened ones) and everything else more or less accordingly, not measuring very carefully.

Today I made up a great recipe for swiss chard and feta cheese. A pie. The dough with spelt flour and some left-over couscous and left-over porridge. I'm gonna make that again on Wednesday!

once

I had an idea for writing. But I didn't have a photo for that. It could've been cookies, but I don't really like that. Taking pictures of cookies I mean. I like taking pictures of the same things over and over again. And I thought I took this one at the same spot as last year, but I was wrong. I don't like to be too uptight about the places though. Here is also my plant, growing in her pot without too many demands.

I have a photo of a butterfly too, do you wanna see it?

on the table

I love empty tables. I'm not good at keeping a table empty.
I love a kid on the table too. Although I don't tell them that.
She was there dusting the blankets of her house.

Today we picked strawberries at our friends' place as they were away and I stole some peonies from them too. I'm looking at them right now.

Tyhjät pöydät, kunpa niitä olisi enemmän elämässäni.
Lapsia on hyvä olla just nää kaksi. Lapset viihtyvät pöydillä.
Syötiin kaverien mansikat.

play-cabin

There is finally a play-cabin out on the yard! It's been standing there since V's birthday (I've been forgetting to show it), that's when the use of the building was officially announced. It's still missing walls, windows and door, but they will come before fall. It's a very nice place to sit in like this, but of course there has to be walls. I took the first photo from upstairs. The kids were playing neighbours.

Leikkimökistä puuttuu vielä seinät. Lapset leikkivät naapureita. Tänään on ollut Kesä.
