Kalmar is looking for a Junior Sales Representative to drive the growth of our Mobile Equipment and Services. Reporting to the Solution Sales Manager/Country Director, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers while building the long-term relationships that generate repeat business. This is a dynamic role designed for a motivated professional eager to achieve sales budgets and develop their career within a global industry leader.

What Are Your Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development & Lead Generation: Proactively identify, research, and qualify prospective leads while maintaining strong relationships with the existing customer base to drive repeat business across all business segments.
  • Strategic Sales Execution: Develop business within Northern Italy to meet agreed sales budgets and targets, formulating localized sales strategies and marketing initiatives alongside the Solution Sales Manager.
  • Customized Solution Selling: Propose solution-based sales and prepare tailored commercial and technical quotations by collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet specific client needs.
  • Offer Management & Negotiation: Lead customer negotiations and take full ownership of the solution offer within your area of competence, ensuring a competitive and professional approach.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity while maintaining accurate CRM data, including order intake, sales forecasts, and detailed won/lost deal analysis.
  • Operational Coordination & Brand Awareness: Oversee equipment delivery and post-sales follow-up in collaboration with service teams, while managing marketing activities and social media to enhance Kalmar’s brand presence.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Academic Background: You hold a BSc or MSc in Engineering, Management, Economics, Marketing, or a related field, providing you with the analytical foundation needed for technical sales.
  • Professional Experience: You bring 3–5 years of experience in a similar sales role. Experience within the ports and terminals sector, industrial capital equipment, or a multinational environment is highly preferred.
  • Sales Drive & Mindset: You possess a proactive, business-oriented mindset with a total commitment to customer service. You are a problem-solver who can handle high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.
  • Technical & Digital Literacy: You are comfortable working with modern sales tools; experience with CRM Salesforce is a significant advantage, as is the ability to navigate complex multinational reporting structures.
  • Linguistic & Communication Mastery: You are fluent in Italian and possess strong written and spoken English skills, enabling you to communicate effectively with both local customers and global internal teams.
  • Mobility & Reliability: You are a self-reliant team player with the willingness to travel frequently (40–50%) across Northern Italy. You are responsible, decisive, and adaptable to changing priorities.
