'Twas the Morning of Christmas...

'Twas the morning of Christmas
And all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring
NOT EVEN MY KIDS!
John was nestled, all warm in his bed
While I was awake every hour instead.
4 O'clock, 5 O'clock, 6 O'clock even
Not ever a "Mommy, Santa has given..."
So, finally I give up and just fall asleep,
When just after seven, I hear the first peep.
Patrick's awake! He comes in and gets me
We go out to the tree and catch sight of our stockings.
Now we'll have to wait, for Will to awake,
But mom is quite happy and just takes a break!

Just waiting for Will to wake up Christmas morning

Silly Willy

Very serious drummer, he'll take after his big brother on the symbols, I'm sure.

One of Patrick's favorite toys, a huge box of blocks to build whatever his creative little mind thinks up.

When he first opened the box of blocks, he just stared, confused at why Santa would give him this gift. We asked him if he knew what it was and he said, ".......wood"? It broke John's heart that we had to tell him they were blocks because it took a lot of work to cut and sand all of them, but once Patrick found out they were blocks, he was very excited!

Notice that we value a very nutritious meal for Christmas Breakfast!

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Hello in there!

Patrick, Will and I were sitting on the couch talking about the baby in mommy's tummy. Next thing I know, Will says, "Baby James, what you do in there.....swim?"
I thought that was just so cute and funny; I didn't want to forget it, so I thought I'd write it down.
Gotta love 2 year-olds and the fun things they say! :)

Here Comes Santa Claus...

Here is the cutest Santa I've ever seen, he even came to our house one night just to visit!

Will was a little unsure, but lasted long enough for me to get a quick snapshot, bless his little heart.

Patrick wasn't fooled a bit, but still enjoyed sitting with Santa. Before any picture was taken though, he had to get his elf hat on.
We couldn't leave Justin out of this. I think he secretly wanted to sit with Santa. :) He's getting old, but obviously not too old to enjoy the Season!

That's My Boy!

So, for those of you who know Patrick, this is just the perfect little clip of him in his Christmas program at school. He was very serious about this and did an excellent job! I was crying I was laughing so hard. I sure love that boy!

It's a....

Well, we had a little surprise on Tuesday. We went in for the Ultrasound fully prepared for a "It's a girl!" I never seem to get what I'm expecting. :) We are having our 4th boy! I was so shocked, John and I were just sure it was a girl.
We are excited to have another boy, though. And everything looks great, and right on schedule, so we're very happy about that.
Now we just have to come up with a name. We had a girl name all picked out, but of course since we were so sure that this one was going to be a girl, we didn't even think of a boy's name. We're thinking about James, but we're not quite sure on the middle name yet. Good thing we have a few more months!
