Brenda

Brenda came over for a goodbye visit (she's moving back home) and made us Navajo Tacos, mmmmm so good. The kids loved eating them and even tried hard to make some, but no one could do it like Brenda.

Mom and Dad, here are a couple messages to you from Brenda:

She knew you would be jealous that you were not here to enjoy her cooking. She also said that she remembers Dad giving her a hard time about drinking soda and when Dad did that she just told him that when he was ready to give up his cookies, she'd give up her soda. :)

It was fun to visit with her, she is truly a wonderful person. When I went to pick her up from her friend's house, she was helping her friend's mom, (who was in a wheelchair), plant some flowers. She wouldn't leave their house until she saw to it that they were taken care of, she is a neat girl.

What a NUT!

Last weekend we had some friends over and one of them asked me if Will was always so sweet and cute. I just laughed because I, seriously (as bad as this sounds) never would describe him as "sweet". My descriptive word for Will is more like DEMANDING or LOUD. I have to thank you Jill, it is because of you, I have been looking at my son with different eyes this week and discovered what a sweet, sharing, adorable little guy I have!
Today, Will and I were watching Scooby Doo and sharing some trail mix. I showed him a cashew and asked him if he wanted to try one, because "they are so good". To my surprise, he took one, ate it and then asked for another "shoe" nut. I chuckled and thought he thought that cashews looked like shoes, but then realized that they are called caSHEWS. I thought that was cute, but I swear, my brain is SO slow!
I have had THE best week with my kids, just hanging out. We aren't doing anything different, I think I'm looking at them differently and really appreciating what Heavenly Father has blessed me with. The weather must have a lot to do with it too because it's Spring here, nice and warm. We went to the park yesterday and got the beginnings of our 2009 tan! It's a beautiful thing. :)

Here's a cute litte video of James. He is growing up so much and is so fun to have around! We find ourselves cracking up at his laugh, he's got this deep growl of a laugh, Patrick calls it an "evil laugh".
He's crawling normally now, if he's taking his time anyway. When he's in a hurry he's back down on his tummy and scootin' away.
