This is a sad day for us. I know, I know, we already sold this house, right? Well, not exactly. We were leasing with option to buy after 2 years. Our wonderful renters have to move so they will not be buying our home. We always kind of hoped that things would work out that we'd be able to move back "home" after our two years here in St. George but we know we need to sale it and let go. :( We absolutely LOVED living in this house, neighborhood, ward, area of PROVO. So, if you know anyone who is looking to live in Provo, Edgemont area...Let me know, I'll give you more info.

Summer???
Isn't this the most beautiful picture of James? I love his eyes...
I'm calling September our 2nd Summer because our first summer was June through August and pretty darn hot! We did not want to spend much time outside. Now it's starting to cool down to what we're used to summer being, like it is up in Provo, so it's our 2nd summer. haha ;)Monday, September 7, 2009
My New Discovery...
I know Patrick and James look like they're sleeping, but they're not, they are actually watching, "The Sound Of Music".First of all, I'm spending more quality time with them because when they want to watch T.V., I'll give them another option which includes me reading to them or playing a game or else I'll suggest going outside to play with brother. Sometimes I get pouty faces (especially from the middle child) and he just wants to watch T.V. and nothing else. When this happens, I just open up a book and start reading and tell him that he doesn't have to listen because I'm reading it to his brother. This has never failed to work...yet! My boys are learning to LOVE books, it is very exciting!
Not only do they love to read with me, but because of books, their attention span is growing! I noticed this Sunday night when we were having a movie night to watch "The Sound of Music". What 4 year old would watch that, right? Well, my 4 year old did, and loves it! Even the baby seemed to enjoy it.
Then I realized that last week they watched "To Catch a Thief" (Old Cary Grant Movie) with me. If any of you have seen this recently, you know how SLOW this movie is, especially compared with today's entertainment.
I've also realized how less hyper my boys seem to be. I think T.V. makes them hyper, John says that they're brains aren't just mush, maybe that's what it is, they have more to think about, more ideas in their head from all the books. I'm excited about that because I do love the great imaginations they have.
Anyway, I don't know if this is just my kids or not but I just thought I'd share what I've noticed, maybe you'll want to try turning off the T.V. too, I DARE YOU! :)
Camping

John took the boys camping on Friday. They had a wonderful time having their daddy all to themselves. They slept in the van, ate junk and went hiking twice! They also visited this old mine and had a great time finding old "treasures" like nails and an old key with the curled metal from a sardine can. They had a very good time, but it was nice to hear, "I wish you could have come with us, Mom." John also told me that Will was ready to come home before they went to bed, so he could see James.
It is so nice to see my boys becoming great friends, I LOVE it!
