Playing with Pretty Products from Altenew!

I was recently contacted by Altenew for a fun collaboration post on my Instagram account. (go to @JanaEubank on Instagram to learn more!)

They sent me some BEAUTIFUL products to play with, but I also went on a little shopping spree of my own and have THREE new projects to share with you today.

THANK YOU CARD

Florals are my absolute FAVORITE thing to add to any project, and Altenew has so many beautiful and unique options. For this card I featured florals from the Zero-Waste 3D Floral Cover Die along with the Wood Cookie Die Set & Timeless Sentiments Set. Isn’t that little ladybug ADORABLE?!

ALPINE COASTER LAYOUT

Next up is a layout created with more fun finds!

I used the Wood Cookie Die Set again on this one to create wood slices and more ladybugs.

I couldnt’ resist adding lots of beautiful florals. The large orange florals were created with the Craft-A-Flower: Sulfur Cosmos Layering Die Set. The smaller flowers, leaves, and pines were created with the Mini Delight: Floral Congrats set. All of the florals & leaves were cut from white cardstock, then ink blended with Altenew inks.

I added more embossing to this page with a strip of yellow cardstock and the Herringbone Tiles Embossing Folder. I added a dotted accent strip by stamping green cardstock with the Dainty Swiss Dots Stamp in Swamp Green Ink.

For the page title I combined together two alphabet die sets, the Fine Alphabet Die Set for the larger word, and the Simple Alpha Die Set for the smaller word.

The background of the layout was sprinkled with Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray. I added more sparkle to the layout by adding dark orange gems (Gem Sparkles – Citrine) to the centers of the small white flowers.

I added some stamped sentiment strips using the Sentiment Strips 1 Stamp set, and I will add my journaling to the tags (Terrific Tags Die Set) behind the horizontal photo.

YOU ARE LOVED LAYOUT

Finally, a layout featuring florals created with the coordinating Floral Whimsy stencils, stamp, & die.

For this layout I kept it soft and pretty with a tonal background so that the flowers and textures could really POP! I used the Window Slats 3D Embossing Folder along with the Creative Edges: Lace Die to create vertical and horizontal strips on the background.

I accented the florals with butterflies created with the Mini Delight: Butterfly Dreams Layering Stamp Set. I opted not to use the outline image of the butterfly for a different look.

I created the title with the You Are Loved die. I cut it out once from white cardstock (shadow layer) and then three times from Altenew Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock. The bottom layer is the full phrase. For the middle layer, I trimmed away the word ‘are’ and then the top layer is only the word ‘loved’. I used foam adhesive to stack the layers, creating a dynamic, layered title.

The photos are framed with the Picture Frame Die Set. I loved the embossed detail on these frames, they look so pretty cut from the Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock.

I finished off the floral clusters by sprinkling Satin Gold Sequins throughout.

I love the soft and pretty result of this page!

See you next time!

Simple Stories: Good Stuff Card Kit

In my last post I shared with you a Card Kit Organizer I created using the Simple Stories Good Stuff collection. Did you notice the coordinating cards in that post? Those were actually created with the coordinating Shine On Card Kit! Guess what? I design the card kits for Simple Stories … so, if you order one … it’s like ordering a card class from ME through the mail! Fun, right!

The card kit comes with full-color instructions, white pre-scored card bases, four sheets of pop-out die-cuts, and a 6×12 chipboard sheet to create EIGHT handmade, layered cards. You can ORDER THIS KIT HERE! And they are a BLAST to put together, if I do say so myself.

Want to get a better look at each of the completed cards? Keep scrolling for pictures!

Have a great day!

Simple Stories: Good Stuff Card Organizer!

I make lots of handmade cards, but you know what?! I am TERRIBLE at using them! For YEARS, I have wanted to come up with a system to get those cards out of the boxes I store them in and actually WRITE in them and then SEND them out to people … can you relate?

I decided to create a Card Organizer that will help me do just that. This binder isn’t necessarily a place to store all of the cards I make, but it *IS* a system for selecting those cards and putting them in a ‘queue’ (so to speak) ready to write in each month. Let me explain it a bit more.

I used the Simple Stories 6×8 Black Stripe Designer Binder as the base for this project. I then used a variety of colors of Color Vibe cardstock to create pocket pages to go inside the binder.

Watch the video for more information!

On the front of each pocket is a calendar card from the Simple Stories Good Stuff collection and a list for each day of the month.

The idea is to write birthdays, anniversaries, etc. on the list, and then place cards for those occasions inside the pocket … ready to be written on. I can then keep this binder on my desk, by my bedside, wherever! to write and SEND the cards from my stash each month. It will serve as a ‘transition spot’ for the cards in between my storage box and the recipient. Great idea, right?!

Here is a closer look at each pocket in the album.

Did you like this project? Do you think that you will make one for yourself?

Let’s put this project to use and become card-giving ROCKSTARS this year!

Until next time!

Simple Stories: Full Bloom Springtime Gift and Pocket Folder Card

Brighten someone’s day with a sunny Springtime Gift! I created this gift set on Simple Stories LIVE a few weeks ago using the Simple Stories Full Bloom collection. CLICK HERE to watch!

Check the video description to download the FREE template for both the flower pot wrap and the Pocket Folder card, or click on the link below.

The pocket folder card is perfect for tucking in a note along with a few packs of flower seeds. It would be perfect to use in the wintertime with hot cocoa packet as well …. Heck! How about using it for Apple Cider packets in the Fall?! Lots of possibilities with this one!

The flower pot is holding a cellophane bag of sour gummy worms. I created a ‘topper’ for the gummy worms using a striped paper drinking straw as the stick.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to spread a little ‘Spring’ to someone you know!
