Tageroo

Tagged by my big sista. Please tell me how impressed you are that I: 1)completed the tag 2) completed it in the same day I was tagged. 6 random facts...here goes.

1.My dysphagia friends might get a little mad at me for admitting this, but I haven't aspirated yet!Every night after I brush my teeth I pop a piece of sugar free gum in my mouth because I hate waking up in the morning with a dry mouth. I started doing this 2 years ago while we were at the Russell's cabin. I had a horrible cough and snored like a troll (according to JP). I couldn't sleep because I was so nervous I was going to keep everyone up, so I popped a cough drop in my mouth and slept with it the whole night. I have slept with a piece of gum or a cough drop in my mouth ever since.
2.I am starting to like watching movies more than I ever have before, which is a huge step for me, but I still have a breaking point of about 40 minutes. After the 40minutes, I get extremely restless and fidgety. JP will then say, "Oh no, Critter's coming out." Sometimes, if I pay attention to a whole movie he will say, "Critter didn't even come out tonight!" Silly putty works pretty well to keep Critter tame(during school and meetings too), but my mind still races, and I have to ask JP what just happened in the movie even if I was "watching" it the whole time.
3. I think everyone already knows this about me, but I love colors and collections! They really make me happy. I look at my rows of colorful eyeshadows or line of colorful shoes on the shoe rack and just have to smile. I know it's kind of pathetic, but I can't help it. I pretty much love colorful anything... candy, decorations, clothes...you name it.
4. Before I do something I don't like to do, like turning off the shower, closing my eyes to go to sleep, or pushing myself a little harder while I'm exercising, I do a count down in my head. Sometimes I say 5,6,7,8 like in dance or if I really don't want to do it I count backwards from 10 and say da da da in between each number. I don't know where this came from.
5.This one is really weird. Prepare yourselves. I love to play with cold hands, even my own. My dad loves to play with cold noses and ears, so maybe it's another one of those crazy genetic traits. When my hands are cold I always interwine my fingers, clasp my hands together or squeeze my fingers with my opposite hand. Stay away from me when you have cold hands, especially if you are JP, a baby, or a little kid.
6.I HATE driving. I'm still kind of terrified of it and I've been driving for 8 years. I couldn't think of anything else, and, once again, it's time for bed :)

6 friends I tag: Kes, Heidi, Lori, J-ROK, Mary(s), Lisa - do it or die :)

Who do I look like?

Baby on board! The nurse said that our little Lime (actually our large lime according to a pregnancy book) is already a mover and a shaker and would barely sit still for long enough to get a heart rate measurement which turned out to be 166 bpm. Little (it sounds cuter) Lime likes to steal all my food and I eat like a pig, but other than that I have felt surprisingly good. JP says I always do everything the hard way and I'm always sick, so neither of us can believe that I haven't had any symptoms yet. He's expecting me to crash and burn at some point soon, but I'm going to prove him wrong (fingers crossed). Alright, time for bed... It's 8:30. Do you think that's a pregnancy symptom? :) Actually, JP is the one dead asleep on the couch right now so I'm not sure.

I know this probably looks like a repeat post from the summer, but it's not... This was just last weekend. We got hot chocolate, donuts, and our lounge chairs and headed to the coast for some R&R. It was so beautiful. JP forgot his sunglasses and had to wear mine. Ha ha! The weather has been surprisingly nice and we packed our weekend with as much fun as we could. I loved every second of it.

Sorry, dad. I know you hate the biking posts, but I thought it was worthy of mentioning that we are still biking in January!! We got to take a few rides this week and enjoyed soaking up the sun (in our winter ski gear)before it got dark. I love riding at night. It's so fun to be with JP and the dogs and cruise through the beautiful trees when you are surrounded by darkness. It's a pretty awesome feeling. I have another feeling that my family will make fun of me for writing this...we're not really allowed to get this sentimental.

We FINALLY went skiing for our first time in Oregon. We have a ten pass to Mt. Hood and feel a little pressured to ski every Saturday since that is the only time we can go. Our trip was a little bit comical because we: slept in, went out to breakfast (french toast rolled in granola, yum! Did you know going out to breakfast is one of my favorite things ever?), mosied our way up to the resort (it only took a measly 2 hours), parked about 10 miles away, stood in line for 40 minutes and discovered we were in line for the kiddie lift which only took us 122 ft., stood in line for another 20 minutes (there were record breaking crowds), and made our first run down the mountain at about 1:30. Oops. This is a picture of the tippy-top of Mt. Hood. You can see it from forever away when it's sunny. It was a warm day, but the skiing conditions weren't great. We didn't care and ended up having a great time with our new motto being "At least we got out."

Overlooking the Valley. Pretty, huh?

To top it all off, Dan and Annie (I guess my hyperlink didn't work) invited us over for a night of garden burgers and an outdoor fire pit. I have never had a garden burger before and have to admit that I liked it a lot. I wish we took pictures to prove that we have friends in Mcminnville :) Even if they are our only ones. THE END.

ANOTHER LONG POST! CHRISTMAS AND THE NEW YEAR!

I had to steal pictures from everyone's blogs because our camera didn't work for over half of the trip (Kes you need to update so I can get pictures from you!). I didn't feel like putting them in order, but here are some cute kiddos on Christmas Eve, Christmas, and sledding. I am so sad it's already over. JP and I have already slumped into a deep depression/nasty cold because of the constant rain here (jk. only kind of). Some people say they would rather have moderate temperatures with rain everyday than freezing cold and sunny. I say bring on the sun (freezing or not) and the snow, but I guess I'm just going to have to get use to the rain!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Naomi, Brynley, Aubrey, and Rylee put on a cute little play for us. It was awesome. I couldn't believe they thought of it on their own.

Crazy Indie!

Nashy boy and Havey Baby!

We had a fun little New Year's Party with great company and all of my FAVORITE treats (that's why I'm shoving them in my face). We played games, pool, Wii sports, set off fireworks and rang in the New Year.

I got to play with Hollie, Kelene, and Candice for a minute and it was lots of fun. Hollie is modeling the newest, hottest, scarf, hat, and glove in-one combination. Sweet!

Lame! I basically only have pictures of JP and I skiing, even though we got to go with most of our ski buddies at some point during our trip. We managed to get one shot of Nate and Katie. We thought we were going to wake up bright and early to drive home all day Saturday, but when we woke up to 9 new inches of snow we couldn't resist skiing in Utah with my parents one last time. JP loved every second of it. Unfortunately, I came down with a nasty cold/strep throat/fever/cough/kill me now virus! After a few runs I told JP that I couldn't make it down the mountain. I have never been so exhausted in my entire life. I've been basically knocked out ever since and JP's in bed right now suffering from the repercussions of being married to me:)

We got a flat tire on our way to Utah. Bode and Che were just happy they got to play in snow up to their heads. My job was to keep them from running onto the freeway while JP changed the flat. Neither of our jobs were easy, and Che kept thinking of strategies to get past me and onto the road. Yikes! The 13 hour drive turned into 18 hours. The roads were bad, but we made it.

Rudolph and Dasher are in the Christmas Spirit.

Despite all odds, JP passed his multi-engine commercial add-on check-ride! The course was in Las Vegas and it just happened to snow the week of his class (meaning all flights were canceled). What? In Las Vegas?! He didn't even get to step into a plane until the day before his check-ride, and only 3 out of 16 pilots passed. There was a major shortage of flight instructors, so JP and his friend were forced to teach themselves everything. All of his hard work and TONS of MONEY paid off!! YAY for JP!

The week before Christmas break it decided to snow in Oregon. School was canceled for a WHOLE week!! Usually I would be thrilled, but JP was out of town and I was left to myself without anyway to get to a ski resort or even to a town with a store other than Walmart. I don't think I have ever been so bored in my life!!! Luckily, a couple of girls from my ward were kind enough to invite me over to make cookies and to chat. I went on a LOT of walks with the dogs. These pictures were taken before it really started snowing.
