I finished another project! After stitching for 3 days straight I finished my Mill Hill bead kit "Witch Way". Now I'm passing it on to my mommy to turn it into a pillow ornament. I'll let her have the fun of "finishing" it. I'm just excited I got another project in before the new year. I'm on a roll...

Probably my Last Finish of the Year
I finished what will probably be my last finish for the year today. I made a cat memorial for Omkar. It will be his Christmas present. Yes, I finished his Christmas present on Christmas day. The button I needed was backordered so I just got the supplies in to make it on Monday. Fortunately it is a cute pattern, but not a difficult one so I was able to complete it in a few days. I knew it was not going to be framed for Christmas no matter what so I was always planning on giving it to him, letting him pet it for a few days, then taking it back. Here it is:

Fish City
I finished my 10-hour rotation on Fish City. Of course, it's all background work so the progress isn't as obvious to me. But, I'm glad I pulled it out to work on finally.
My theme for November was supposed to be "NO Xs". I had intended to make my Around the World in 80 stitches my focus piece because there is not much cross stitch on it. It focuses on different needlework stitches around the world. However, I got a little distracted. When I was at the Houston Quilt Show, I bought a bunch (and I do mean a bunch) of Mill Hill kits from Silver Needle. I began working on a witch and got totally engrossed. I've gotten quite a bit done. Fortunately the theme in December is "Do What you Will in December". So I can keep working on my cute little witch. Yay!
