Many people interested in astronomy are watching the progress of comet C/2025 R3 as it moves through its closest approach to the Sun. Follow this link to see an interactive orbit diagram.
I was awake this morning at 4:30 and looked out the window to see that the sky was clear. I knew that the comet was currently low in the eastern sky before twilight. This chart places it within the Great Square of Pegasus. I set my 15X binoculars on a support and scanned that part of the sky. There was a small fuzzy ball of light.
I placed my camera on a tripod and adjusted the settings for ISO 3200 and 1 sec with a medium zoom. Once located and centered I increased the zoom and checked focus. Here is the result. The greenish object in the center has a very faint tail pointing toward the 1 o’clock direction. The Sun was well below the horizon in the 7 o’clock direction from the comet.
You can see many other photos submitted by others with better seeing conditions and equipment than mine. Go to this page on Spaceweather.

How bright would you say it is as of your observation?
