This drawing is inspired by the work of German ceramic artist Renate Löding (her site is in German). I used my faithful watercolor pencils (wet and dry), fineliners and a white gel pen. Size 20 x 20 cms/8″ x 8″

Slow stitching 8
Sketches & Drawings – 2
drawing done with fineliners and watercolour pencils
Also inspired by one of M’s doodles. I used one half of a sketchbook that was falling apart before I had even started to use it. As you might have noticed, the pages will be ring bound when completed. Size of the pages is a scant 20 x 20 cms/8″ x 8″.
Sketches & Drawings – 1
drawing done with fineliners and watercolor pencils
This is one of the pages in my Sketches & Drawings art journal. I’m not going to show you all of the pages, I copied a lot from other artists just to try out what I’d like to use for future works. The one above was inspired by my friend M’s artwork.
Slow stitching 7
cotton, machine stitching, beads,
size 20 x 25 cms (8″ x 10″ approx.)
I cut this one from a test piece that was lying around and embellished it with beads.
Apart from the occasional slow stitching panel, I’m working on a small collage journal and also on a couple of art journals. However, this month’s focus will be on cross stitch, hoping to get a couple of things done.
Journal Pages 2025 – Circles #29 & #30
I’m ending the series with two for the price of one –
Circle #29, 18 cms (7″ approx.), cotton batiks, sequins, seed beads,
embroidery thread
Circle #30, 18 cms (7″ approx.), cotton, seed beads,
embroidery thread
This one didn’t turn out as planned. Maybe next time…
I’m collecting ideas and material for a 2026 series of journal pages. Don’t expect any of them too soon as there are other things I’m currently working on. More next week.
