Another try in acrylic pouring that went relatively well. Others did not. The black spots were a “happy accident”.

Testing acrylic pouring
A couple of weeks ago we (a couple of ladies from our creative group, that is) had the opportunity to use another group’s space for our first attempts in acrylic pouring as our space isn’t made for such an adventure. We were joined by the hosting ladies and spent a creative afternoon together. We left our art to dry there – finally someone was able to pick up our stuff.
My first attempt (top left) didn’t turn out as expected, I used way too much of the black paint. The second one (top right) looks much better. I don’t even recall I did that one, but it isn’t someone elses so it must be mine. Alas, both of the works are a little bent, they were done one used canvas panels. #3 (bottom left) was done on a black canvas. All three are 20 x 20 cms (8″ x 8″ approx.). The hexagon canvas introduces silicone oil – I like how it turned out. Alas, the blue paint bled through the white, turning it pink, which I had already experienced before on another painting. Works here, so no damage done. I also used turquoise on this one which is hardly visible, it must have disappeared underneath the other colors. Size is 25 x 29 cms (10″ x 11.5″ approx.).
The whole thing didn’t turn out as messy as expected, so I will try it at home some time soon.
