Long time, no post!

More later, but today is Jeff's birthday! Happy birthday love. Hope you have a great day.

I am attempting to sew something for Jeff. It is still not complete. I didn't plan enough distracted by Mandy time.

Monday was my brother Ken's birthday. He turned 12!! I made this banner for him and put it on the stairs so he would see it when he came down in the morning.

Mandy trying out some vanilla icecream.

In our spare time, Jeff and I like to wander. Usually we wander around model homes and stores. If we really like something, we take pictures (like the one of Mandy with the blurry hand. She is so wiggly!) Walmart is always a favorite, but we tried out RC Willey the other night. There is some pretty amazing kid furniture there! For example, a Cinderella Carriage bed, which I loved! We put Mandy in this little pink chair, and she loved it. We had to pry her out of it.

Jeff LOVES to cook. His favorite chef, Bobby Flay, made this on his show the other day, so he found the recipe and made it for us. It is pork stuffed with cheese and ham, with a orange juice and lime marinade. Delicious!

Valentines, etc.

I had a nice Valentine's Day. Jeff and I actually went out Friday night because he was working Saturday night. We went to the Memphis Championship BBQ (yummy!) and then went to see the movie Push (really good). Jeff gave me a really cute card and a box of Ghiradelli chocolates (WAY good). I gave him a charcoal starter/burner thing. My dad also gave all of us girls long stemmed red roses.

Nikki got this giant teddy bear from her boyfriend. Mandy enjoyed it.

And we also got to see my sister Courtney this weekend! She and her friend, also named Jeff, drove down from Idaho. We had fun playing games most of the day. Jeff is a convert, and he and Courtney came into our Sunbeams class last hour of church, so I taught his first Sunbeam lesson. He found it very interesting. :) It was also fun having all the Jeff confusion all day. They ended up Old Jeff and New Jeff.

The stupid things...

Jeff and my sister Nikki being dumb. Why this is fun, I don't know.

Happy Birthday Katie!

I know it's not today, but I wanted to make sure I get it up in time! (I'm not known for punctuality)

You're lucky my computer crashed and all my photo albums are in storage. I wanted to put up some older photos of us! This will have to do for now. :)

Mandy's First Basketball Game

This week we took Mandy to a couple of her cousin Chelsie's basketball games. She had a lot of fun watching the players run up and down the court.

This is the face she makes when she is seriously taking something in. She is definitely no nonsense when learning new things.

Watching with Aunt Teri and Uncle Seth.

Enjoying a little midgame snack. I let her grab her own out of the bowl, which of course meant handfuls she tried to cram in her mouth.

The score near the end of one of the games. Chelsie, who goes to Bishop Gormon, and her team are pretty good. Defending State Champions.

Superbowl Sunday

We had a little SuperBowl Party with Jeff's family. The only pictures I got while we were watching the 3D commercials during halftime.
There was lots of fun and lots of food. True to form, I ate too much, but I'm okay with that. And then I managed to miss the end of the game...totally by accident. I realy did try to watch the whole thing, but mostly I just got distracted by Mandy. She's more fun than football, anyway.

(Okay, how weirdo do my eyebrows look? The glasses kept slipping; I think that's what happened.)

I tried to get Mandy to wear a pair, but she would only eat them.

A look at the last week

This is belated, but Happy Birthday Daddy! We celebrated with the traditional Simper Family Ding Dong Cake.

Mandy the Imp. (can you see how absolutely drenched her shirt is? I can't keep the girl dry.)

She is so thrilled that she is able to pull herself up on things!

She looks so tiny to me, standing up like this.

The "Geez, Dad..." face. She's starting young.

And of course no day is complete without a mess!

And good news on the house front! We've finally recieved the go-ahead to start looking for houses! It is simultaneously exciting and nerve-wracking.
