I am back in my recliner
it's the safest place to be
that is until I'm better
and my veins are blood clot free
For here I can find comfort
during day and through the night
and there's very little chance
of things here to bring a fright
Everything is close at hand
drinks, pens and paper too
together with my mobile
in case I need to speak to you
I've even got my music
so this is the perfect place
to remain for the near future
its safe comfort to embrace

The sun outside the window
in these autumn days I’ll keep
as the warmth is nice to feel
in this chair where oft I sleep
I like it here, it is a place
where I feel safe, secure
and when the sunshine streams right in
it has for me allure
For I will find a certain spot
where I can rest my nose
and feel that warming sunshine
whilst I have a little dose

It’s always with some pleasure
when I have been away
Getting closer to my home
at the end of a long day
Yesterday met that description
hook, line and total sinker
Eighteen hours, give or take
(It really was a stinker)!
But all that’s now behind me
and I can rest, relax and chill
Safe here in the knowledge that
my home will that gap fill
