Bob, Bruce & Todd: new old stuff

Bobby Weir is deservedly getting a lot of ink worldwide after his passing into the howling void recently. Here’s a nice sendoff from our compadre Catie Van Dyke, lovely daughter of our dear departed leader Bruce Van Dyke, who capably steered her at a young age into the world of the Deadheads: HERE
And while on the subject of the dearly departed, we’ve added another classic concert recording of Todd Snider opening for Robert Earl Keen at the Hawkins Amphitheater in Reno Nevada circa 2003, for your listening pleasure. In a rare move for his last song that day, he brought out a new ditty and the story of its inception:
Jesse Welles: Fresh as Folk used to be.
And then there’s this…

The Mountain Goats!
This video gives a taste of this inventive, groove-laden band. [Don’t be tempted to try to read the lyrics/subtitles that are out of sync.] Listen to it LOUD on good speakers if you can, and it just might blow you off the couch like it did me. The drummer killed! We’ll be hearing more from The Goats on Jiveradio in the months ahead.
…and more Toddness…

One more Todd concert recording from Reno’s Nevada Museum of Art – July 24, 2004 on our TODD PAGE
