Thanksgiving week.

We went to Utah last Tuesday really early in the morning. Our flight left at 6:50 am so we woke up around 4 am. I was so tired! It was nice though to get to Utah early in the day. We hung out with my brother and his kids, who we stayed with, and then I went with my mom to Alice Lane Home. I love this store and have to go there every time I go home. It was decked out with Christmas and did not disappoint. John went to the BYU basketball game and I got my hair done. It was so funny because there was this huge snowstorm that was suppose to happen so all these stores closed "due to the storm." Turns out that it never even happened! It was pretty funny. We had Thanksgiving at my mom & dad's house. Almost every one was there. The next day my sister Haley flew home from Cambodia and Vietnam. We did some more eating and chatting. Then on Saturday while the boys watched football, the girls went shopping around SLC. I was sick basically the whole time, but all in all we had a great time. It went by way too quick. I only took iPhone pics, so the quality is not great. I love Utah and am blessed to have a wonderful family. Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful!

Joy and Heartbreak!

I was so happy to hear that Kate Middleton and Prince William got engaged! They have been dating for 8 years! I have always thought she was beautiful and classy. I love how she dresses and she seems really sweet. I love how he gave her his late mother's engagement ring. It's very pretty. I'm happy for them! I can't wait to see her wedding dress! In other news, I was so sad to hear about Tony Parker and Eva Longoria getting a divorce! How sad. I loved them together and they seemed so happy. What do you think? Do you like Kate's ring and were you as surprised as I was about Tony and Eva?

Isn't her ring gorgeous and classy?

Oh yeah, I'm a little obsessed with all her fun and fancy hats!

So sad...

This made me laugh!

Either this cat is really dumb or just really likes water? Haha! Normally cats hate water. I think this is so funny. Maybe because I have a cat... but I still think it's funny either way. I love the Granite counters in this video. P.S. I just couldn't resist doing a Christmasy header. I know it's a little early, but I just got excited. I kinda think Thanksgiving decor is a little boring. No offense to Thanksgiving... You have great food and company!

I'm Thankful.

This Mormon Messages video is from last year. I might have posted it last year. Oh well. It's a great reminder and I wanted to post it again this year. I'm also sharing a link entitled: Live in Thanksgiving daily by Joseph B. Wirthlin. It's pretty long, but really humbling and good!

Go HERE for the "Live in Thanksgiving Daily" talk.

Can you move a little to the left?

Ummm, excuse me cat... but what are you doing sitting perched right in front of the TV I'm in the middle of watching? Silly kitty. Good thing you're cute! (She just stood right there looking at me for a good 5 minutes.)

A little birdie told me...

I got this cute little bird plate from West Elm a few months ago but just barely am putting it out because I didn't have a plate stand. I bought a cheap little 2 dollar plastic stand and put it up! I love it. Although it's very Springy, and Christmas is right around the corner. I guess that's okay. Isn't he cute? Can you tell I'm obsessed with birds and Keep Calm posters?

The cutest little play kitchen ever!

I saw this on Knock on Wood today and just had to share it. How stinkin' cute is this little girl kitchen playset? I want my kitchen to look like this! Haha...

Halloween Night

Okay one last Halloween post... We really enjoyed our casual Halloween night with John's parents. We had the BEST homemade Chicken Noodle Soup I've ever had and the yummiest rolls! Then we watched the Modern Family Halloween episode again; it was that funny, even the second time! Then we decided to go and sit outside on some lawn chairs and hand out candy to the trick or treaters. It was cute to see all the fun costumes. We got some kids that weren't really kids. I'm talking 16-18... Go home. You're too old! HaHa! Then we watched some more shows and headed home. Thanks for a great Halloween Geoff and Debbie! Here are just some random shots with my iPhone from the night and one of my cute little nephew Ty in his Halloween costume! Umm- please excuse John in the first picture... I'm looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with my family in Utah!
