Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween to everyone, including all of my WordPress followers!!! Actor John Candy was born on Halloween in 1950. Sadly, Harry Houdini died on Halloween in 1926 and River Phoenix died on Halloween in 1993. I was born in 1963 and we only used to celebrate Halloween Week from October 25th through October 31st each year. These days my neighbors put up their Halloween decorations on September 1st each year. It has become a major holiday in America. We used to make homemade costumes and use pillowcases to collect all that candy. These days the costumes are extravagant and the candy buckets are fancy as well. Our local elementary school had a fancy Trunk-or-Treat event last weekend, so the Trick-or-Treaters get to wear their costumes twice for the holiday. Have fun this year in 2024!!!

Should Halloween Decorations Be Banned Until October 17th Each Year? LOL!

Okay, we have Halloween decorations in our neighborhood as of September 1, 2024. Not to sound like a Halloween Scrooge and grouchy old man (well, I am 61), but I clearly remember when we only celebrated Halloween from October 25th through October 31st each year, and adults rarely wore costumes. Isn’t one week enough? I doubt many people will agree with me though. Everyone but me seems to be really into Halloween these days.
