Poll: Should We Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on September 17th in 2020?

Okay, I think this is a great idea. However, I just spoke to a popular retired news anchor from here in Hampton Roads, Virginia, and he said it might be treading on sacred turf, so to speak.

I know the holiday is normally associated with spring, and March 17th is the day St. Patrick died. We think of lush Irish vistas and green landscapes, and of course green beer.

However, we are missing out on the spring of 2020, and we are probably going to lose out on most of the summer too.

By the time September rolls around, we are going to be in need of celebrations. However, Thanksgiving is still two months away, and then another winter looms on the horizon for us all.

So what do you think? Could we talk towns and cities (and Ireland) into having a big bash on September 17th, 2020?
