A feminine card for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #377 hosted by Narelle.

I started with an “inchie” of thick cardstock.  A coat of Triple Thick covered this piece and I then applied AI’s.  While drying, I stamped my card base twice, heat embossing first in gold and then in silver pearl.  The Altenew fine frame circles, the Little B Bouquet blooms and the Alexander Renke Branch Wreath leaf outline were all cut out of a pastel gelliprint.  The die-cuts were adhered to the base and some fuchsia liquid pearls were added to the center of the flowers.

The CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #310 was the inspiration for this nearly all white anniversary card with specs of gilding flakes.  A Sizzix mix media thinlit die  pierced through the top and bottom of the card base.  Then a “joyeux anniversaire” (happy birthday) word die from Lime Citron was given a pearl white coat of acrylic paint.

The Inspirational Challenge #181 is “USE YOUR STASH”.  My stash box has lots of unused pieces from other projects that just didn’t fit.  For this Challenge, lots of heat embossing was the solution to my left overs 😉 .  The only recognizable piece is the Penny Black, flutters die-cut.

The colourful paper is a gelli print of AI on hand sanitizer.  A thin coat of iridescent medium was also applied to give a muted look.  The dies used are the Penny Black Border Edges and the Memory Box Sketch Daisy.  “je pense à toi” (thinking of you) was stamped and heat embossed with sapphire EP.  I’m entering my card into two challenges, the CAS(E) this Sketch #310 and the Freshly Made Sketches #376.

A springtime theme for the CAS Colours & Sketches #309 using So Saffron, Daffodil Delight & Pear Pizzazz. I stamped a Stampers Anonymous “How is your garden” onto a Nellis Snellen square die-cut and added coloured heat EPs.  I did this 3 times and then added Ultra thick EP along with some Martha Stewart stars.  The frame was also heat embossed with the green EP twice.  Before adhering to the card base, I stencilled yellow tinted some iridescent medium.

A Color Throwdown Challenge #531 in the colours of Rust, Purple & Grey.  A piece of grey patterned vellum and another of rusted Tengujo paper is base of my smooshed purple wild flower.  “Tout simplement” (simply) is the purple embossed sentiment.

Making the sentiment a focal point on a OLC is the Less is More Challenge #389.  Got out a friendship word die “amitié“, added Versamark before dry embossing on the base of the card.  Then I use pink pearl EP to heat embossed.  I then used a word die mask and started stamping flower blooms / leaves around the sentiment with Distress Oxide inks,  I also heat embossed alternating with glitz EP & silver pearl EP.  Finally, I added silver pearl EP within the word die to give it a little pop.

Wedding season is just around the corner, so I made an all white card for the RETRO Time Out Challenge #129 respecting the CAS(E) this Sketch #309 Challenge.  I used the Altenew Fine Frames to create the opposite corners which I silver heat embossed then glitz heat embossed for some punch.  The 3 octagons from Sizzix were dry embossed with a Spellbinders M-Bossibilities Folder and silver heat embossed on the surface.  The Technique Tuesday Charming Hearts pendant was also heat embossed in silver pearl and  glitz EP.  I popped the centre piece up, adding a white feather underneath for interest.

Half way through the month and there is still time to play at CAS Mix UP.  The linky closes at midnight (PDST) on Friday the 24th of February.  Hideko is our hostess with a great dimensional challenge.  Stop by the blog to see what our special guest Arlene has come up with.  As always, there are videos and design team cards to spark some inspiration.

Out came the Penny Black butterfly, which I never get tired of 😉 , and I die cut several layers of light blue tissue paper, glued together and wrinkled up …for dimension. The top iridescent cellophane flakes acetate layer is a piece left over from our acetate challenge from last March!  I also cut out the flutters body and heat embossed this with Sapphire EP!  Before adhering him to the card base, I stencilled a checker board with white iridescent acrylic paint.  “Pour toi” (for you) was also heat embossed with the Sapphire EP.
