Joelle's 5th Birthday

We just had a low key family party for Joelle this year. Mom and Dad (mom in her last week of glasses)

Taylor and G-pa and G-ma Lewis came.

I don't know why their faces aren't focused, probably moving.

Lake Powell!

Lot's of wake boarding.

Lot's of sand sitting, watching the kids.

Lot's of swimming.

Lot's of throwing rocks.

Lot's of boating.

The babies. Todd, Avery (Amy's), Emma (Mikkel's)

We took a girls boat trip. Me, Aubry, Amy, Tricia.

And Mikkel. Love my girls.

Joelle and Parker in their mud pit.

Joelle and Brooklyn

Randon always had a death grip on his hat so it wouldn't fly away on the boat.

We had our annual Lake Powell trip with our friends from West Jordan. It was especially fun this time because we don't live by them anymore, so we got to catch up. It was a great time at Mikkel's in-laws cabin. We weren't on the lake as much as being on the house boat but it was nice having showers and a real kitchen to go clean up and cook. I'm realizing that I didn't get any pictures in the cabin though, oops. It was beautiful though.

Atkin get-together

All the younger boys in the tub. It was a little crazy. I didn't get a shot of the girls tub.

The August birthdays, Joe, Kennedy, Tom, Joelle .

One good thing about the fair is that they had some fun characters come around and the pool was by the fair so we got to see them.

Sis-in-laws, Regina with Lily, Shari, Ashley with Todd, left to right.

Jon's family came to visit for some August birthdays and family pictures. We had quite the crowd at our house. I think 22 people slept over and more were here during the day! The guys went golfing and the girls took the kids swimming. The weather was real bad that day but we went anyway. Jon's Sunday school class the next day was quite full, all with his family.

Tooele county fair.

Ashley and I on the swings.

Natalie and Elizabeth

This is Randon right before he peed his pants. Or maybe while he's peeing who knows. Maybe that's why he's not smiling. The carney man said that was a first for him. You would think he would have done it on the roller coaster (see below).

The kids before the ride started.

This is Randon after the man stopped the ride b/c he was terrified.

Elizabeth and Joelle (she loved having her cousins over all summer.)

The boys liking the animals.

Now I had great expectations for this fair. The ones in Tremonton and Logan are so fun so I just thought it would be similar to that...well it wasn't. I talked it up to Joe and Ashley and then we got there and it was pretty pathetic. Not very many rides, or people animals. But, that being said, we still had a good time and the kids had fun.

New years resolution... be a better blogger.

Natalie and Randon and Nate swinging.

I am going to be a better blogger! So I am going to catch up now.

Here are swimming lessons and fun with Joe and Ashley's family. They stayed with us for the summer and we had a lot of fun. (sometimes those pictures won't go down below text. grr)

Bryce Canyon Half Marathon

We stopped at Cove Fort on the way home (I always load these backwards). It was a great little pioneer tourist stop that I had no idea was there.

Here we are after the race. The picture of all our blistered/bloody toes. The one with the cast is the one who got us all to do this and she ended up having surgery on her Achilles tendon and her appendix out a few days before this. Bummer, but we all had a fun trip without the kids. Thanks Marsha for watching them for us.

Jon and I ran the Bryce Canyon half marathon. It was a fun trip with friends from West Jordan. It's funny we have to do a race or inflict some sort of pain to get together. Just kiddin, it was a great accomplishment for us. I'm glad to say we did it. Got that check off my bucket list, and no there is not a marathon on that list, just a half.

Another Atkin reunion.

We went camping with Grandma Marsha and all the cousins. It was a good time.

Everyone loved the river.
