Phenomenon

We have a lot of snow from last night and this morning, Ryan went out to snow blow what he could off of the driveway.  I was in exercising and he came in and told me to hurry outside and see this. I didn't have my camera but then went back inside to get it. I am glad that it showed up  in the pictures because I have never seen anything quite like it.
Now, when you look at this first picture you might think that it is a little cloudy and the sun is just shining through the clouds.  No, this is looking to the West, and remember I told you that it was morning, so the sun comes up in the East.  Then there is this vapor trail that is a perfect circle.

Now, if you look straight up in the sky, you see this crescent rainbow, (pretty cool, huh!)

If you follow the circle around, there is another sun circle and then, there is the real sun hiding in the trees.

Can you see this other rainbow prism that is forming.

Kind of looks like ET is coming!

This vapor circle actually extends all the way around in a perfect circle.

I took a video so you can get the full effect.

So, all you science guys, what is the phenomenon that we saw this morning??

Grandparents day!

Today I was able to go to my first grandparents day. I have missed the last 2 because I had to work and this year I decided whenever it was I wold really try to get it off. I was working again but was able to get someone to trade with me at the last minute. So yeah! I was able to go.  It was so fun to hear the great songs they had and yes, my favorite was the Mac and Cheese song.
Can you spot Kace in the middle?

Yep, here he is again.

He knew the songs well and sang very well.

Here he is, he looks pretty excited, huh!

He showed us his class room and all of his projects and class duties.

He was pretty thorough in showing us every detail in his room.

Here is his cubby and all of his school work.

He actually uses 3 because he is on the end and he can!

Thanks Kace! It was a fun day and getting to see your school and eat lunch with you was super fun! The lunch tables are pretty low, but my old grandma legs can still bend down there!
