The past month has been full of adventures and full of our Jackson who goes, goes, goes, all day long....until about 8ish when he becomes super tired, and then he sleeps like a rock until around 6-7am. Then the little machine starts all over again! He does take a few cat naps throughout the day, but those aren't as consistent. As you can see from some pictures below, he is into everything and we have to keep a close watch to make sure he stays out of "danger". Recently he has been teething and he has one tooth on the bottom that will be coming through any day now.
We started our month off in Colorado at a cabin owned by some great friends, the Mitchell's. We were able to spend a weekend there and enjoy the beauty of the fall, wildlife, and 4 wheeling. Thanks for the great weekend! Josh has also been able to go out hunting for coyotes a couple times which he has enjoyed. Other than that, it's been a routine month of chasing Jackson, working, and school for Josh. We took Jackson out trick or treating to a few homes last night and then spent the rest of our Halloween volunteering at the local haunted house which was a lot of fun. We are so excited for the upcoming months getting into the spirit of Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Hope you enjoy the pictures of our little life that we love! There's a bunch in no order!
Jackson and his friend Kalyssa before treat or treating last night.

We give him rides in this box and he loves it! Amazing how much entertainment a box can give!
At the local highschool football game! Jackson gets bundled in his snow suit!
Jackson on the 4 wheeler with Dad, he loved it of course.
Kansas sunrise taken by Josh while out hunting coyotes
Last week we took Jackson to a school Halloween party, is he the cutest bat ever?
Helping with Sunday lunch? No, just exploring the fridge!
Love that his feet are crossed in this picture!
We did finally move the plant, got sick of cleaning up dirt...

7 months

Our little man continues to grow and be the highlight of our lives. Jackson had a check up and shots today so we were able to get his new stats:
Length: 28 in (76%)
Weight: 17 lbs 8oz (26%)
Although he continues to be on the lower side for his weight, he has actually gained about 4 lbs this past month so we were thrilled! He continues to be the curious little boy that he is, crawling like a mad man everywhere and getting into everything. He loves to stand up anywhere and on anything! He loves anything that mom or dad has and wants to be included in everything. He continues to be such a good boy. I love my mornings with him. He has started going to bed between 8 and 830pm and getting up at 7am. We have finally let him cry the couple times he wakes up at night and so far we've had some great success. The longest he cried was for 20 minutes and then he slept soundly the remainder of the night. So, needless to say, we should have done that one a long time ago! And, getting up at 7 is no big deal when you get to play with the sweetest little boy on the planet! I love being a mom and only wish I could spend all day everyday with Jackson.

Swinging at the park, which he loved!!

6 Months.....Already????
I can't believe my baby is 6 months old. Wow, time really flies. It is so fun to see him grow and develop but it makes me sad to think that he is growing so fast. He is the sweetest little guy in all the world, he is such a joy to have around. He amazes Josh and I daily with how fast he grows and catches on to things. Just last night he grabbed a hold of the laundry basket and pulled himself up...then I put him to bed in his crib but he still thought it was time to play so I sat on the floor in the dark to watch him...he pulled himself up there too and was bouncing. We had to lower his bed down! Is this normal??? He's growing up too fast! I don't have his 6 month stats yet but enjoy some of the pictures I took this past week!Family picture in our PJ's! :)

Picture overload!!
This post is strictly for the grandma's....and anyone else who may be interested in photos of Jackson. These are from the past few weeks.
This is Jackson at Lake Tahoe over the 4th of July weekend. He slept through the fireworks.
Chubby face! We went to the local fair last Friday night where they had races and they were soo loud we had to get some ear muffs for Jackson. They pushed his cheeks together-so funny!
At the demolition derby (also part of the county fair) sporting his U of U sweatshirt!
We went out shooting guns a couple weeks ago and made Jackson wear earplugs. He did pretty good. Our little man is quite the trooper!Jackson holds his own bottle and feeds himself completely now! Only while lying on the ground though. We're still working on him sitting up on his own.
Fists are always in his mouth!
He LOVES to stand on his own or with the slight help of his mom or dad.
Aren't these shoes precious?
We inherited all of our cousin's hand me downs (Thanks Wyatt!) and these Christmas PJ's were part of the deal...so we celebrated a little Christmas in July when he wore them because they are soo dang cute! He only got to wear them twice though because he's growing!
I put him in his bumbo as I get him ready for his bath. What a cute naked guy!

4 months
Jackson is 4 months old today. Some of the things he is doing include:
playing with his hands
grabbing at toys, blankets, mom's hair, etc
recognizes his food (both bottle and mom)
rolls over from back to stomach
giggles
loves the mirror
everything goes into his mouth
grabs his toes
crawls like an inch worm
holds his own bottle (still struggles a bit but almost has it)
bounces ALL THE TIME
stands holding mom and dad's fingers
unfortunately he has stopped sleeping through the night again. He wakes up hungry every few hours again so we're going to try adding some cereal at night before he goes to bed to see if that helps. I took these pictures of him yesterday afternoon. We sure enjoy our happy little bug!More updates of our adventures over the past month coming soon!

3 Months...
Jackson is now 3 months old! I cannot believe how fast our little guy is growing! He is so adorable! At three months he is:
rolling over more and more (from tummy to back, still working on back to tummy)
giggling
starting to scoot on his belly
reaching for objects
pulling moms hair
loves singing and wiggling
He is such a happy guy and we are continually blessed to have him in our life. We blessed him last Sunday, some of the pictures are posted below. Josh took the other camera to Alaska this morning so I will have to wait to post the other photos. Enjoy!
Exactly 3 months in this picture (taken on Friday)
