Fun Never Stops, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hi friends!

Today I’m sharing a layout that I made using a little bit of all the March 2019 Hip Kits.  I was challenged to use the March HKC mood board.

I was particularly drawn to the image on the right with the feathers arranged in an ombre pattern, so I decided to take that as my inspiration.

I used a free March HKC subscriber cut file called books.  I cut the big title from white cardstock, and I backed it with a Heidi Swapp pattern paper in an ombre pattern.  I adhered the cut file to blue cardstock with foam squares.

I embellished with flowers from the Crate Paper sticker sheet and a few of the HKC exclusive ephemera.  I also had the flowers left over from the cut file that I used recently on this layout, so I sprayed them with the Lindy’s cotton candy shimmer spray, and used them as embellishments on the layout.

I really love all the colors in the March Hip kits, as well as all the pretty florals.  I hope you like how my project turned out, and it inspires you to get crafty!

Magic, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hey friends!

Today I’m sharing a layout I made using the March 2019 Hip Kits.  I used the Main kit, Embellishment kit, Color kit, and a pink cardstock from the Cardstock kit.  I was challenged to use a cutfile, and incorporate a birthday theme.

The cut file that I used is a free March 2019 Subscriber cut file from HKC called floral background.  I cut it from white cardstock, and backed it with 2 Heidi Swapp pattern papers.  The cut file makes such a big impact on the background, but since I used a tone on tone color scheme, I don’t think it looks too busy.  I added some ink splatters with Lindy’s Stamp Gang cotton candy shimmer spray from this month’s Color kit, and Heidi Swapp’s gold color shine.  Once dry, I adhered the cut file right on top, and I popped it up from the background using foam squares.

I wanted my photos to have a photo booth/ film strip appearance, so I put them together in photoshop and printed them out.  I added them on top of the cut file to the left side.  Then, I embellished around the photos with Hip Kit Club exclusive ephemera.  I love the florals in the pack so much!!!

My title is simply 39.  I used the Heidi Swapp thinkers from the Embellishment kit.  These thickers have a sort of color blocked pattern on them, and for these numbers it was pink with a little piece of yellow.  I didn’t want yellow, since I didn’t really have yellow anywhere else, so I just changed it with Versamark ink and gold embossing powder.

To finish off my layout, I added another phrase ephemera from Hip Kit Club, and journaling strips to the bottom right corner of my layout.

Trio of cards, featuring Spellbinders Die D-Lites

Hello crafty friends! I am so excited to be sharing my first guest post on the Spellbinders blog.  There is more detail and instructions on how I made these cards over on their blog, so please stop by and leave me some love!  (Supplies are linked at the bottom of this post.)

Today, I’m working with some cute Die D-Lites.  The little animals are so cute, and I decided to make a few birthday cards.  I also love a good cheese burger and fries, so I made another card as well.

My favorite technique for the background has always been ink blending, so that is what I did for all three of my cards.

Magic, featuring Hip Kit Club

I never knew, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hello Hip Kit Club friends!  Today, I’m sharing a layout that I made using some of the frames in the February 2019 kits. I documented my 3 girls wearing the same dress. I used these photos recently in my December Daily 2018 album, but I had to have a 12×12 layout for my traditional album as well. They are not triplets, lol, as some people thought when I posted my DD album page. One photo was taken in 2008, another in 2013, and my youngest in 2018.

I used bits and pieces from all the February kits, but here are some highlights. I decided to use the Pinkfresh Studio chipboard frames from the Main kit to frame my photos.

The other focus of my layout is the long quote title, and I used the Pinkfresh Studio mini puffy alpha stickers from the Project Life kit. I had enough letters for my long title, with plenty left to spare!

I also used the stencil, and a little bit of the pink paint from the Color Kit, mixed with texture paste, for some interest on my background. I used the Crate Paper heart pattern paper, exclusive to the Paper Kit, to line the left side of my layout.

Finally, I embellished my layouts with Crate Paper stickers, and Pinkfresh Studio puffy stickers from the Embellishment Kit, along with some layered hearts that I hand cut and machine stitched using the Crate Paper pattern papers.

2 sweet layouts, featuring Pinkfresh Studio’s Joyful Day

Hello friends!  Today I’m sharing 2 layouts I made for the Pinkfresh Studio blog using the Joyful Day collection.  The colors and the florals in this collection are stunning, and I had so much fun creating with these products.

For my first project, I made a grid layout, which is a personal favorite of mine.  I am also scrapping photos of my sister’s new corgi puppy.  Her name is Eevee, and she is so cute and feisty!

On a sheet of white cardstock, I added some pink ink blending, and paint splatters.  For the splatter, I used some Pinkfresh Studio watercolors.  I wanted the perfect shade of blue to match the blue color in the kits, so I mixed a little bit of sky blue, sapphire, lavender, and a lot of water.  I lightly sketched a grid, then added some hand stitching.

I die cut circles from some of the pattern papers in the collection: fresh start, small beginnings, being us, and big ideas.  I also used the Fancy Floral 1 die to create a tone-on-tone look.

For my photos, I knew I wanted to frame them with the botanicals circle frame die.  I ended up die cutting the frame from white cardstock 6 times; I wanted each frame to be a layer of 3 frames, so that it would give a dimensional, chipboard effect.  I glued the frames to the photos.

I arranged my circles on the grid, and once I liked how everything was played out, I started adhering the circles to the layout.

I embellished the frames with puffy stickers, ephemera pieces, one of the chipboard frames, cardstock stickers, more puffy stickers, mixed embellishments and enamel dots.

I also used the Embroidered Blossoms stamps set and coordinating dies to create my own embellishments.  The beauty of stamp sets is that you’re able to create your own embellishments in the exact color scheme you want, not to mention you can use them over and over again.

For my title, I used a mixture of fonts; I used the puffy alpha stickers, and the multicolor mini puffy alpha stickers.

For my second layout, I used an exclusive Pinkfresh Studio cut file, called Folk Motif, which you can access in the Pinkfresh Studio Fan Group FB page.  I thought the cutfile, and the colors int the collection worked perfectly with the photos of my youngest daughter all dressed up.  Already, she loves to play dress up, and Belle seems to be her favorite princess…or maybe she just really likes the color yellow.  Either way, she is cute, cute, cute!

I cut the Folk Motif on white cardstock, and I backed the cut file with the pattern papers in the collection: simple pleasures, being us, true story, and small beginnings.

I mounted the cut file on white cardstock.  I adhered it to the left side, and I couldn’t decide if I wanted it to hang off the edge or not.  In the end, I decided to add a bit of the pattern paper to the left side, because I didn’t want to trim any of the cut file off, and since it was hanging off the edge a tiny bit, I would’ve had to trim it.

I backed the photos with pattern paper, then started to embellish.  Again, I stamped a few of the flowers and leaves from the Embroidered Blossoms stamps set, and used the coordinating dies to create my own floral embellishments.  I really love how this stamp set seem to coordinated really well with my backed cutfile!

I also used puffy stickers, ephemera pieces, and enamel dots to embellish the layout.

I added a simple little title using the mini puffy alpha stickers.

I love how the cutfile turned out!  It makes such a big impact on my layout, and enhances the photos, rather than overpowers them.

8 cards, featuring Spellbinders March 2019 Card of the Month kit

Hello friends!  Today I’m sharing 8 cards that I made using the Spellbinders March 2019 Card of the Month kit: Relax & Enjoy.  These kits are jam packed with everything you’d need to make a card, from card bases & envelopes, to double sided tape and foam squares.  I will also be using some kit add ons: Relax & Enjoy 6×6 paper pad, sentiment stickers, vellum butterfly stickers, and clear stamp set, which you can get here.

I absolutely love butterflies, and the butterfly die cut ephemera pieces from the kit, and the vellum butterfly add ons are gorgeous.

For this card, I used 3 vellum butterflies, a sentiment sticker, white yardstick, a piece of pattern paper from the paper pad, and a card base.  This card may be one of my favorites, and it was probable the quickest to put together.

For this card, I used a piece of pattern paper from the paper pad, one of the 3×4 cards, the butterfly and banner die cut ephemera, and a card base.  I added some machine stitching to the banner for added texture and interest in my card.  The colors in these kits are so gorgeous!

My next set of cards are cacti and succulent themed.

For this card, I used pattern paper, a 3×4 card, some of the die cut ephemera, and a card base.  I love the foiling detains in the die cut ephemera pack!

For this card, I used the stamp set, and the black cardstock that came in the kits.  I stamped a background piece using the cactus stamp.  I also stamped an extra cactus, colored it with Zig clean color real brush pens, and fussy cut it.  I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with Versamark ink and white embossing powder on the black cardstock.

For this card, I used pattern paper, a 3×4 card, sentiment stickers, the cacti and flowers metal dies, and a card base.  I die cut the pieces of the cacti from the green and mirror foiled cardstock included in the kit.  There wasn’t a pink cardstock in the kit, so I just ink blended some Picked Raspberry distress ink onto white cardstock, and die cut the flowers.

My last few cards are all about relaxing.

For this card, I used pattern paper, a tiny piece of the mirror foiled cardstock, die cut ephemera coffee cups, sequins, and a card base.  I love that sequins that matched the foiling details were included in the kits!

For this card, I used black cardstock, a sentiment sticker, die cut ephemera, sequins, and a card base.  I added some machine stitching to this card as well.

For my last card, I used pattern paper, ephemera pieces, cardstock, and some of the flowers and leaves metal dies.  I used the cardstock from the kit to cut out the flowers and leaves.

I really love how quick and easy most of these cards came together!  I love how much were included in these kits as well!

The only things I used from my own stash was my Platinum6 die cutting machine, a circle die from the Spellbinders nestabilities standard circles, fun foam, and liquid glue.  For the stamped card, I used ink, Versamark ink, and white embossing powder from my stash.
