Today’s words of wisdom are basically a cut and paste from last year’s post for this Saddest Day of All Days. The horrifying, senseless death of Charlie Kirk yesterday is sending ripples of grief through all of America. Pray for his sweet wife and family.
So many things have happened in this past year’s time. We’ll get caught up, I promise. The decline and loss of my mother this spring has fractured my existence in more ways than I could ever imagine. And now everything falls on me, again.
Here is the annual remembrance, and most of all, remember to pray without ceasing.

If you’d like to read previous remembrances of 9/11, just follow the Never Forget link in the Categories. That should get you there.
Today is much like that fateful day 24 years ago. Beautiful clear sky, just the very whisper of autumn’s beginning in the air. (Here in the South, that means the oppressive heat is running about 90% of its usual ‘suck the soul right outta you’ strength.)
As you go through today, think about all that was lost. The people, the relationships, the knowledge, the trust, the respect between nations and people, and for some, even their faith. We live in a far different world than we did 24 years ago.
Reflect. Pray. And remember Jeremiah 29:11:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
