The search for perfection
Models always strive to be as perfect in their dress as they possibly can be. Most people have no idea what goes into that outfit you see striding or gliding down the runway. And nowhere do you see it more than in the MVW Contest.
How many stores? How many demos dragged home to see that it just will not work? Even after your idea has flowered in your head, finding all those perfect pieces takes time, lots of time.
Once you have the best idea and all the parts are on, then comes the really hard part. Most challenges today do not even allow you to wear one dress, one suit, one complete outfit from one designer. Your outfit must be composed of many many pieces from, if possible, many different designers. The problem is that mesh has made the whole things much much harder. How do you fit that perfect part together with all the other perfect parts?
I had that problem with my outfit for the second MVW Challenge. The creative haute couture genius, Jean Paul Gaultier was chosen to design the costumes for The Fifth Element movie and we were to use that theme and that designer as the theme for our outfits.
Days after finding all those perfect parts I had what was to me, the perfect outfit. It was a reflections of me and the movie and the designer. Pictures were taken, style cards done, but then, when I looked at the whole, wanting each piece to be prim perfect, my dream shattered.
Part of my problem with an outfit is, I fall in love with my creation and its like killing my child to realize that parts are not perfect, parts will never ever fit together. So, what do I do now? Leave my beautiful creation and hope no one will notice that the arm pieces do not work with the neck piece? Hope that after doing hundreds of poses, maybe even thousands, I use the few that do not show the skin of the neck through the neck corset? No, it is MVW and I want my outfit to be a reflection of me and my ideas and it must be as perfect as I can make it.
So, into the trash almost all of my beautiful outfit and back to the drawing board. Piece by piece I found parts that did fit together, that would be prim perfect. Did I love this second outfit as much as the first? No. But I did love that it was as perfect as I could make it. And, I loved this second child of mine too.

The story for both:
In the shadows of the stage, Kaciee watched. Her dream had come true when she was promoted. Her first job was to watch and protect one of the greatest opera singers of all time, Diva Plavalaguna. Kaciee was one of the few people that knew that the opera singer was the protector of the stones that could save the world of 2263.
Her uniform was deceiving. She was dressed to look like an innocent beauty but she was far from that. Her armor of black and white, shimmered in the light, sometimes casting an evil glow of red and sometimes the white of innocence. .The influence of Jean Paul Gaultier played an important part of this outfit. From the corsets to the bold black and white It shows his characteristic irreverent style that could be formal yet at the same time unusual and playful.
She was in constant contact with her team with her headset. Her real weapon was the droid, Sam, who hovered constantly near her shoulder. She is on the prowl. So if you are planning an attack, be careful or she will take you down.
