Hoping to Adopt

We want to remind all of you, our family and friends, and those we may have never met before that we are hoping to adopt.  Adoption has been such a blessing in our life.  We love everything about it and especially the blessings that have come from it.  Please keep our family in your prayers and please spread the word that we are hoping to adopt.  Our case worker has told us that getting the word out is the best thing to do.  We have set up this blog so birth families can get to know us better through the tabs along the top and the Just for Birth Parents section on the right.  We are excited to hopefully  welcome another member in our family.  Thank you for your support and love to our family.

Merry Christmas 2013

I feel as though Christmas this year may have been the most magical one yet for us.  Our kids were so fun the entire season and it was fun to see the magic through their eyes. We hosted Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at our house so we felt super grown up.  Both of our parents and my brother Jared all spent Christmas Eve with us and then they slept over.  On Christmas Eve we went to Los Hermanos and then had a Christmas Eve Program.  On Christmas we had a big breakfast and the relaxed for a while to build up energy for our big dinner.  So FUN!

Little America Weekend

The weekend before Christmas we went with my family to Salt Lake and stayed at the Little America.  This has been a fun tradition we have done many times since I was a child.  Many memories there.  We went ice skating, swimming, out to eat, had an amazing Brunch with Santa, saw the Temple Square Lights, and hung out as a family.  Such a great weekend with fun memories.

Christmas Card 2013

MERRY CHRISTMAS from our Family. We have had a wonderful year full of fun, learning, and laughter.

BECKHAM turned 2 years old and is 100% boy. He loves getting dirty and roughhousing. He is obsessed with planes, trains, and especially CARS. If we would let him, he would entertain himself all day long driving cars up and down every piece of furniture that we have. He has really started to communicate well in the last few months.

IZZY turned 4 this year. She is taking creative dance for the 2^nd year and loves it. She has also started preschool and amazes us every day with the things she is learning. She has the best memory and remembers the most intricate details about pretty much everything. If you tell her you’ll do something later, be prepared to follow through…it might be 6 months later, but she’ll be sure to remind you.

KARSON and BETSY are both still teaching at BYU and in the BYU Youth Ballroom Program. We’ve stayed busy running a small business selling ballroom shoes and attire. Some of our favorite things include: baking treats with the kids, pillow fights with the kids, chasing after the kids, breaking up fights between the kids, and watching Disney Junior with the kids. Pretty much our lives revolve around our kids and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

All About Izzy

Our little miracle Izzy is such a blessing in our lives.  She is full of fun, learning, playing, snuggling, laughing, crafting, and more.  She amazes us everyday.  Here are some things about her at 4 1/2  

She is gorgeous.

She is loving of everyone around her.

She is a poser.  :)  Wearing the adorable dress made by her birth Grandma

She loves to play with dolls, barbies, and LaLa Loopsy's

She is a dancer.  She loves it when Dad does lifts with her.

She would live in her cousin Averee's hip pockets if she could

She is smart and loves pre-school.  She know all of her letters, their sounds, and how to write them.  She is starting to sound out words.

We would make crafts all day everyday if she had her way.  So creative.

She LOVES strawberries, soup, mac n' cheese, quesadillas, enchiladas and is willing to try most everything.  She is becoming a good eater.

She loves playing outside and with cousins

She loves riding her bike, scooter, and playing with her bestie Elizabeth

She is totally into fashion.  She loves making sure her clothes match.  (Hmmm.. wonder where she got that from)

She is the heaviest sleeper in the world.  This was in the middle of the night.  She came in our room to go potty.  She finished but only made it 2 steps out of the bathroom before she fell back asleep on the floor.

This night she did not even make it to the bathroom.  She just collapsed on the way there.

She loves to paint and is very good at staying in the lines.

She has really started liking board games and of course she is a master at the ipad games. 

She has the best memory of anyone I have ever met.  She remembers intricate details from everything.  She is seriously amazing.

She loves her long beautiful hair.  For the longest time she would not let me put it up, but then I convinced her that we could do lots of hair styles.

She loves to sing and belts really loud and even adds vibrato.  :)

She loves every Holiday.  It is fun to see her get into each Holiday and remember our family traditions.  

 She is great at helping with chores.  Whenever I am working around the house she asks how she can help.
