Hoping to Adopt

We want to remind all of you, our family and friends, and those we may have never met before that we are hoping to adopt. Adoption has been such a blessing in our life. We love everything about it and especially the blessings that have come from it. Please keep our family in your prayers and please spread the word that we are hoping to adopt. Our case worker has told us that getting the word out is the best thing to do. We have set up this blog so birth families can get to know us better through the tabs along the top and the Just for Birth Parents section on the right. We are excited to hopefully welcome another member in our family. Thank you for your support and love to our family.

Happy New Year 2013!

We brought in the New Year in St. George. We had a lot of fun. We celebrated everything 3 hours early. We made it fun by letting the kids pop a balloon every half hour leading up to the big countdown. There was an activity listed inside each balloon. (go to duck pond, paint finger nails, share a favorite 2012 memory, have a dance party, etc) It was way fun. Definitely a new tradition.

Beckham's 18 Month Pictures

We took Beckham's 18 month pictures in January when we were in St. George. This little guys melts my heart everyday! He seriously could not be any sweeter! IN LOVE!!!!!!

St. George Trip

Wow! This is by far the furthest I have been behind in blogging. Life has been crazy but great. Now things are slowing down a bit, so I'd better get this family history caught up!

After Christmas we went to St. George for our annual family trip. We have such a great time just hanging out, scrapbooking, playing with cousins, going on walks to the duck pond, watching movies, and whatever else we felt like doing.

Izzy's Preemie Story

Izzy was born on Monday, August 17, 2009 in Boise, Idaho. She weighed 2 pounds 5 ounces and was 13 and 3/4 inches long. She was born three months early and was originally due on November 8th. When we heard the news, we dropped everything here in Provo and drove to Boise to meet our little daughter. We also met her amazing birth parents.

She has been a fighter since birth. There were many health challenges that came with being born at 28 weeks. Izzy went through numerous ups and downs while she was in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit for 2 months. She fought hard and after all that she went through was able to come home. We know that her determined attitude she showed while in the hospital will stay with her all of her life.

Izzy came home on October 8, 2009. We are so blessed and lucky to be her parents through the miracle of adoption. We love her so much and she has brought so much joy to our lives. She continues to be healthy and is growing like a weed.
