Hoping to Adopt

We want to remind all of you, our family and friends, and those we may have never met before that we are hoping to adopt. Adoption has been such a blessing in our life. We love everything about it and especially the blessings that have come from it. Please keep our family in your prayers and please spread the word that we are hoping to adopt. Our case worker has told us that getting the word out is the best thing to do. We have set up this blog so birth families can get to know us better through the tabs along the top and the Just for Birth Parents section on the right. We are excited to hopefully welcome another member in our family. Thank you for your support and love to our family.

Resourceful Parents

We wanted to teach Beckham to ride a trike the other day.  (We know it's pink and purple....part of being the little brother with the big sister)  He kept moving his feet when the pedals would go.  So....we taped his feet to the pedals.  It worked wonders.  :)  I helped him get the feeling down and now he is doing pretty well.

He was so excited to wear his helmet he got for Easter

 Taping Up...

Little Bunny Foo Foo

We started to make these bunny masks one day before Easter, but then it was time for Elizabeth to go home.  I forgot all about them.  Just last week (like a month after we had started them) the girls came downstairs and said, "We need to finish our bunny masks!"  Such good memories and such cute faces!!!!  (The best is when they wear their masks they also hop...adorable)

Playroom!!!

Karson and I had so much fun putting together this playroom for our kids.  They love being in there.  Here are some of the things we did...

One part of the room

the other part of the room

The bins with picture lables are my personal favorite.  The kids know right where things belong and they put them away in the correct bins each night so they know where to find it the next day.

every kid needs a giant picture of themselves in their playroom!

We bought this big board at DI and painted it and I used my cricut machine to do all of the vinyl lettering.

The art gallery wall was fun to make and so practical!  We got all of the frames at DI and sprayed them different colors.  We glued a clothes pin on top of eacf frame as well to display art.

Here is the wall filled up with projects.

This is our crayon craft.  We hot glues these to the canvas, held it upright,  then melted it with a blow dryer.  NOTE:  If you try this, remember to do the low setting with the blow dryer.  It took us a second to figure that out and there was crayon wax flyin' for a minute.

The finished product

I love this pic of Izzy chillin' on the bean bag adoring her art wall

Craftin' like Crazy

Izzy would make multiple crafts everyday if she could.  I need to pace it so I don't run out of ideas.  :)  She loves to be involved in creating all sorts of projects.  Beckham has started to be very interested and he got to make his very own craft last week.  I could tell he felt so big and grown up.  Good thing we have our kid art gallery to display their masterpieces.  :)  Here are some of the things we have been making.

This is my personal favorite...Izzy's had the idea to do the eyebrows

Beckham loved placing the puff balls on the glue dots.  He would say "Puuu" as he placed for push.

Izzy's leprachaun....the unibrow was her idea too.

Easter 2013

We spent Easter weekend in Portland with my brother's family.  Easter is such a fun time, especially with little ones.  On Saturday, we did an egg hunt at the park for the kids.

Portland Trip

We went to Portland for my nephew Logan's baptism.  We packed in the family fun.  My whole family was there except my brother Jared who had to work.  We missed him!  Here is some of what we did.

We went swimming at the hotel

Beckham loves his cousin Sydney...and the other ones too!

We went to a fun play land place.  Even my Mom and Dad got in on the action.

That is what you call a "cool Grandpa"

Beck and I were exhausted after all of that fun

 After Logan's baptism

Of course, he wanted to eat the piece with his face on it

 The gift we gave him

Izzy wanted to pose in the tree at church the next day

We flew home on Easter Sunday and stopped to eat at a restaurant in the airport.  They had the Easter Bunny come to our table.  So fun.

Beckham loved the Easter Bunny....don't tell Santa!
