Finally!!

Well, I have been hesitant to post this because I didn't want to jinx us...
but our boy.....

is finally...

!POTTY TRAINED!

He has been doing really, really well for the past few weeks, but even better this last week when he conquered #2 and received a new black Mack truck for his efforts.

We are so proud of you!!

**So weird, but Livi potty trained when Spencer was 6 weeks old and Spencer potty trained when Mac was 6 weeks old...interesting! I know it is because now I have enough energy to actually do something about it! ;)

Day 4 and 5

Day 4: After our whirlwind trip to Niagara we were a bit lazy the next day. We went to Costco and bummed around, ate at the Boneyard, and then we decided to go to see Harry Potter at the Drive-in. Ahh, I love drive-ins, but seriously, SERIOUSLY? Who puts a drive-in next to a train that passed by no less than 10 times?!! Ridiculous. Oh, and the rain came back...right at the end of the movie, so we had to quickly jump in the car. Needless to say, we will be renting/buying this Harry Potter to rewatch and we definitely have some great memories to talk about!
Waiting for the movie to start:

First few days

Day 1: Iris and Terry got here late on Wednesday night. We stayed up until 2:30 a.m. talking..since it has been 2 years, we had a lot to talk about!

Day 2: Luke got some new tires for our SUV and then we decided to head up to Niagara Falls!! We were being a bit spontaneous and it was fun, fun, FUN! (thank you Jarrett for your Marriott discount!)

Since we had been here last year we knew exactly where to go and what to do...but we added Goat Island this year. It was cool looking at the falls from a different angle.

We had such a great time! Too bad it decided to rain the entire time! Instead of giving up our ponchos after the Maid of the Mist ride, we kept them and toured Goat Island with them on...we looked SO cool! ;-)

Mac attack! He was sooo good the entire time! What a sweety. I just love those cheeks and it seems that every morning we wake up, he has changed so much! I can't believe that he is 7 weeks today (7/22) where has the time gone?!

It's been a while..

Wow, you know it's been a while when you check google reader and there are 457 posts you need to read...UGH!

Anyway, Iris and Terry left this morning bright and early. We had quite the whirlwind of a week and there is much to update...but before I do, here is a little something the kids said tonight:

Spencer (playing the piano and singing): God tells us a lot of things to do.
Livi (Singing): Yes, yes, yes you can do. I want to do ...yeah, the things that are righteous every day and every night.

Haha..Livi's doesn't make much sense, but it was cute anyway!

Family of 5 update

We have been super busy as a family! I'll be updating a little, but hopefully NOT too much...since Luke's mom and dad are HERE!! We haven't seen them in 2 WHOLE YEARS and we are super excited to play with them for a week.

Tank: Living up to his name

It's true. This kids is definately living up to his nickname: tank.

He is a big kid! I took him into the dr's last week because he was sick..and they weighed him with his clothes on. Verdict? 12lbs. 11oz! Wow! I couldn't believe it! What a big kid!

Well, today I took him in for his well baby (1month) visit and they weighed him again. without clothes on AND a clean diaper.

Verdict? 12 lbs. 15 oz. WOWZER! That is a 4 oz + gain. Let's just say that the dr. was pretty impressed!

We are also impressed. He is out of 0-3 months clothing...and it makes me want to cry. Where did my newborn go..and who is this adorable, CHUNKY little baby?

In other news: Last night he fell asleep around 10 p.m. and slept until 7 (with 1- 3:30 a.m. nursing period). It was absolutely AMAZING! I am not holding my breath, but it was awesome!

Also, on wednesday I left him for the 2nd time (1st time was with my mom on sat.) while I went to a Movie with some women in the ward. It was such a nice night...although I worried about him the ENTIRE time! I love this kid! The movie, My Sister's Keeper, didn't end like the book, but it was still pretty good. You might want to see it!

4th of July weekend..sunday: Blessing

Sunday was a wonderful day. We blessed Mac and it was a great experience to have family and friends in the circle. After the blessing we went home. Yep, we are that religious. Then Kiera and Josh had some friends come and eat lunch with us. Again, the food was AMAZING! We had leftovers and mom's chicken salad sandwiches...oh my goodness...yum! It was sad to have everyone go home, but we are so glad that they were able to come!

The family:

The circle: Todd O'Neil, Dad, Luke, Josh, Greg Lassen (missing Jeremy Davenport)

4th of July weekend continued...Saturday

On Saturday some of us went to the parade. It was perfect! Short, sweet and to the point. Then there was some shopping, swimming, riding bikes...and the most important: food. We had a TON of food! (ribs, hamburgers, steak, bratwurst, hotdogs, watermelon, Mom's Famous Baked Beans, corn on the cob, Mom's Amazing potato salad, sauerkraut, lemonade, chips, and smores!) Then fireworks and a late night ice cream run! ;-)
