Obsession

As I mentioned, I bought a few toys for the boys when I was at the cat show on Sunday. A rabbit (presumably) fur ball (which has been ignored), a catnip sock (slobbered all over, repeatedly), and two wand toys (one which also has been ignored). Oh, and a cat door stop for myself, which was cuter looking at the time. LOL. As always, click to enlarge for better viewing. The boys check everything out. Derry got the catnip sock for only a moment. (Made by the "crafty ladies" at our local Humane Society.)  Nicki quickly took over and refused to give it up.    Note the crazy eyes.         The nip was so potent that Nicki went after the little plastic bag it was wrapped up in. Off to the annual cat show!

On Sunday I went to the annual cat show held at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour (on all weekend). I think it had been 5 or 6 years since I'd gone, though I can't quite recall. It looked pretty much the same, though the one judge I really liked wasn't there, not sure if he retired, was elsewhere or whether something has happened to him. Anyway, I watched a couple of rings, and as before, my preference was for the house cats, rather than the purebreds. I'll apologize in advance for the poor photo quality. I didn't want to use the flash, so had the p&s in sports mode. I deleted most of the pics I took; just too blurry.
