Wrapping up the pics from Dad's visit

Image
Finally I'm getting around to posting the last of the pics from Dad's visit, the Saturday and Sunday of Easter weekend. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a nice walk around in the sunshine. As usual, click to enlarge them for better viewing. Part of the university, houses the creative arts departments.      Zooming in to Wolfe Island in the distance.  One of my favourite old row homes in the area.  The Isabel and Tett Centres from a waterfront park.  The Coast Guard boat heading back to Portsmouth Olympic Harbour (I presume).  Someone had been very busy building these mini pseudo- inuksuit. Milo, a young rescue dog. The couple had two dogs and were from Ottawa, just down for the day visiting their daughter who was studying for exams at our university.  The Murney Tower museum The best snapshot I could get of this cardinal, while walking back to the car.  I stopped to take pics of the grackle and th...

I hadn't been out there in oh, 19 - 20 years, and even then, I hadn't gone down to the dam and power generating station. Homes (year-round and seasonal) across from the parking lot at Kingston Mills Locks.     Several trains went by while we were there.     The noise of the water was incredible. Can't imagine anyone living next to this, but there was a vehicle in the driveway of the house in the middle-right of the image.       Dad crossing over to the other side of the lock. I followed him, but with my fear of open heights, I was holding on to the rails with both hands and was slightly crouched down...much as a four-legged animal will crouch and slink along when scared.   I wanted to take Dad down ...
