Wordless Wednesday: Nicki's thoughts on his September vet appointment

[This is for Nicki's regular anal gland expression, etc. I'll be asking about his ongoing digestive issues at that time.] Comments are off. Peace.

Catching up on recent "adventures"

Image
"Adventures" in parenthesis, because it's not like I was away somewhere exotic or even doing anything "adventurous." Flowers outside a little shop. However, I'd had a day trip on the 18th to Merrickville , a tiny, touristy village northeast of here, my first-ever time visiting. While the pic below shows only one side of the street, that is, in fact, about all there is to Merrickville! Even so, there were tons of tourists and lots of neat little shops and cafés, so I see why it's a popular spot. A few snaps of some of the shops, below. Derry, apparently waiting to be served.  :-) Comments are off; enjoy your day. Peace.

It was part vacation and part staycation. I went to visit friends R &C for a few days, as I usually do three times a year, and we had a great time, took tons of pictures. We stopped at the usual haunts: Wicklow Beach (see the gull pic above), the Northumberland & District Humane Society Thrift Store (see Louie, below), the other thrift stores, Presqu'ile Provincial Park (see first pic), and this time, Haute Goat, which is located about 10 minutes north of Port Hope, 200 acres of farmland with goats, alpacas, Icelandic horses, a mule chickens, and dogs. Louie the thrift store cat At Haute Goat         The bonus was getting pics of both an immature blue heron and a white heron or egret.   It was a great mini-break, and it...
