From October 2008. A nice indoor one of Nicki and one of Derry stalking an insect. (He probably got it, too!) I'll be back to work on Wednesday, should be able to resume "normal" posting at that time. My thoughts and prayers to All Beings in need; there aren't words for recent and ongoing global events, or for the losses around the Cat Blogosphere last week. 🙏💔

I was visiting my aunt (Mom's younger sister) in Cardinal this weekend. She had moved back to Ontario from Halifax after Mom passed, as she has a daughter and granddaughters in the area. We had stopped in and visited with this middle daughter yesterday, a cousin I hadn't seen (and didn't remember other than name only) in almost 50 years. The daughter/my cousin lives further out in the country with her partner on a couple of acres of gorgeous property, backing onto a farmer's fields. (It's beautiful, I'd never leave if I were there.) Anyway, they have two cats, Tigger and Oscar. Oscar was in hiding the entire time, but Tigger was quite sociable and happy to pose for the camera. He knows how handsome he is! They also have a dog, Onyx, who is a real sook! She couldn't get enough scritches and cuddles. The four-legged fur therapy was wonderful! I'm off very early tomorrow morning to visit friends, will take my camera in case the weather clears (cold and rain...

We're into October 2008 for pics now.  I actually have very few pics (of anything) for October 2008, not sure why, so I don't even have enough of the boys to post every Monday. I'll post what I do have, though! Below: The first two are Nicki atypically sitting still and watching Derry zoom around play with what was probably a piece of mulch. Nicki looks sleepy in the first pic, but it was just one of those (many) less-than-stellar snapshots. I wish Derry were still young and healthy and happy and with me. I still find it hard to see his pics; even after almost nine months, I miss him so. It might be a good thing (for me) that I don't have many pics for this month.
