Musings on a Small Life

This will be a mish-mash; all snapshots are from a waterfront walk last Sunday. Let's see...I had a nice catch-up dinner with my "old" work gang a week and a half ago: the two who retired last year, plus the remaining co-worker who has been there almost as long as I have. (There's less than two months between the time I started and the time she started, so we're the old guard, so to speak.). We call ourselves the "Fab Four" and even when we're all retired, we'll still be calling ourselves that. I couldn't have had a better group of co-workers. I've been having lots of "firsts" this year (and of course not always in good ways), but more recently I've started having acupuncture, and now this coming week I'll be going for osteopathy for an ongoing ear/jaw issue that my family doctor clinic can't help with. Finally I'm getting around to posting the last of the pics from Dad's visit, the Saturday and Sunday of Easter weekend. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a nice walk around in the sunshine. On the morning of Friday the 14th, Good Friday, Dad and I made the brief drive to Kingston Mills Locks. The road is closed right now, they're putting in a new bridge, but you still can park in the lot and walk around. I hadn't been out there in oh, 19 - 20 years, and even then, I hadn't gone down to the dam and power generating station. Homes (year-round and seasonal) across from the parking lot at Kingston Mills Locks.     Several trains went by while we were there.     The noise of the water was incredible. Can't imagine anyone living next to this, but there was a vehicle in the driveway of the house in the middle-right of the image.       Dad crossing over to the other side of the lock.
