This is the aura of my city AMDAVAAD just a day before the big festival Rathyatra. It’s the festival when god take the tour of city. The people have to come to invite him to their home and have delightful meal.

I wished to capture it before it flew away so I rushed in fear to click it. After the click I realized it was dead and that was the reason it was on a leaf and did not fly away.

Dada Hari Ni Vaav
Vaav as we say in Gujarati, a step well is popular as an ancient Indian art form. It’s construction began in around 600 A.D. and went on for many years till 11th to 16th century. Main purpose of this architectural structure was to store water. It also served as a place of social gathering and religious celebrations.

Today it is 43c and tomorrow will be 45c. Walk half a mile and you will find yourself bathing in your own sticky, stinky sweat. You will take your next step only if you’re assured of having a shade ahead. The moment has arrived when we all look up in the pale yellow sky and wait for clouds to turn black, pour some rain and spread the dewy aroma of sand.
