Man must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression, and retaliation.  The foundation of such a method is love.

[Today is the day we (in the United States) commemorate the life of a man who sought to advance the lives of all Americans and all of mankind.  Please try to remember his life by giving a little bit of yourself in service to someone other than yourself – family, friend, neighborhood, community.

Game 40 is in the books…  The Warriors fall to four games below .500 with a poor loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.  The Grizzlies are 15W/25L to the Warriors 18W/22L so based on record, the Warriors should have managed a fairly close win.  We lost, but it was actually less competitive than the final score would seem.
The final score in this game:  107 to 116.  The Warriors were competitive early and for most of the game (through the end of the third quarter).  Tonight, on a night when the Grizzlies shot poorly (37%), the Warriors were out shot by the Grizzlies at the three point line and at the free throw line.
Regular Season Record – (18 Wins – 22 Losses)
Game 40:  Warriors 107 / Grizzlies 116
Initial Observations:  The Warriors played “2023/24 Warriors Ball”:  They fouled excessively (25 to 12); they turned the ball over excessively (19 to 11) and although the Warriors played (uncharacteristically) decent defense, they still got swamped by 3pt shots (10 to 20).  Had any one of those margins flipped the Warriors way, they probably would have won.  They didn’t flip…  The Warriors didn’t win…
Conclusion:  This was a game the Warriors should have won.  Based on an injured Grizzly team with a bad record, a quality / veteran team should have buckled down to make sure you left the court with a “W”.  The fact the Warriors left with an “L”, shows how middle of the road teams simply cannot look beyond other “middies” and expect to coast to a win.  This was a “team” loss.
Game 41 is Wednesday against the Utah Jazz (21W/20L) in Salt Lake City…  The Jazz are a decent team so it looks like the Warriors will be finishing this road trip with a losing record (and sinking like a stone).
One game left to the mid-point of the regular season…  Tonight’s loss to a poor team is another indicator we are not a very good team this year.

Life will break you.  Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning.  You have to love.  You have to feel.  It is the reason you are here on earth.  You are here to risk your heart.  You are here to be swallowed up.  And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness.  Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.
